I'll give away a free hint: If you want to go with king b5-b4-b3-c2 there's a surprise Rd4! with c8=Q Rc4+! Qxc4 0-0 stalemate

so many letters and numbers...
I am trying to find an online interactive chess board so I can actually make the moves youre talking about instead of trying to hold them in my head. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Try http://chesslab.com/PositionSearch.html and click the "setup" option to the right of the board.

Oh yeah, well then I suppose whoever i was playing with would get their hard earned draw, and congrats to them. As for the answer, the king cant go towards the pawn and cant move onto the C file so i guess he ends up on the A file. How does that lead to a win?

He can't go to the a-file either, Black will just put his rook behind the pawn! If szeweningen's still around maybe he can provide the solution.

2. Kb5 Rd5+
3. Kb4 Rd4+
4. Kb3 Rd3+
5. Kc2 Rd4!
6. c8=R!! 1-0 :)

One of the prettiest endgame positions with only 4 pieces ever to be composed.

Once upon a time, a game started with the moves 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5 Ne4 3.Bh4 c5 4.Qd3, reaching this position.

How did Black win material here?

Swez,

1. c7! Rd6+
2. Kb5 Rd5+
3. Kb4 Rd4+
4. Kb3 Rd3+
5. Kc2 Rd4!
6. c8=R!! 1-0 :)

Why is 2 ... Rd5+ the best move for black?

Why is not 2 ... Rd2 better?

Then, if 3 c8=Q RC2+ forces stalemate

If 1. c7 Rd2 then 2. c8=Q Rc2+ does not force a draw, because wihte king will get to c3 square and no more checks. King+Queen vs King+Rook is a technical win here.

Hey Hey guys stop all these nex puzzle making!!! Mine wasnt solved yet!!!
Aziridine in your way black would have win.
Infact the king is in the 6 column and he would have reached the white pawn managing to capture it!!!
Go back to my puzzle!! buahah

Anyway I'm pretty sure I'm wrong about last puzzle because in my idea there are too many moves open to the white so I haven't calculated every variation, but it's just a bottom line:
4... d5
5 Qb5+ Nb6
6 dxc5 Bd7

Now white has 2 choices equally so I will analyze both the variations:
If 7 Qb3 Nd4
8 Qd3 Qa5+
9 c3 Nb3 ==> rock captured for the knight.

If 7 Qd3 Ne5
8 Qxd5 Qa5+
9 c3 Nxc5
10 Qxe5 Nd3+ ==> Queen captured for both the knights.

There are a lot of variations to consider but with a fast look all lead to an advantage for black.
Anyway i'm sceptical about my idea beacuse i feel there are some moves that may fit for this better, like the more classical 4... g5 or the other bottom line that is based on e5 (not as fourth move of course) in "charles de legal's style".

I think I see what you mean Trilussa - in the line I gave Black's king goes b6-a5-b4-b3 to support his pawn and draw. Clearly I gotta think about it more...
Black can force material gain in my puzzle. Against a normal move like 4...d5 White probably just plays 5.f3 and stands better.

Yes infact the problem of my bottom line was that in order to make it works, white must try to gain more pieces adavantage:P
Anyway if no one will solve my puzzle tonight i will post the solution:)
