another scam of a ffa-game: boottime one minute, you get 15 cards per turn, can't hold any - so you spend most of your turn discarding the cards; once you get booted, you can't retake control from AI;

not that this was a new idea, but just wanted to point out - beware of games created by player "°√osτrσ".

am pretty sure "games" like this do not match the original intent of the game nor the interest of the gaming community - maybe something could be done to prevent settings like this (i.e. disable max-cards limits on games with 1-min boot-time, or similar.)

You gotta give him credit though, it's a pretty genius idea despite it being a fraudulent method to gain points.

I'd suggest reporting it, you're not allowed to give you an unfair advantage in games like that.

Actually it's not against the rules since he advertised it correctly as an FFA. It's the same as abusing custom scenario in normal FFA/diplomacy games. Unless you advertise it as a lottery or an auto-game or something like that it's legal. You're supposed to check settings before you join.

Sorry lightning I know your intent but it's pretty amusing to see how he set it up. Making everyone scramble while he just chills. Lion is right though, gotta check those settings before joining.

I am all about checking settings, but this is quite sneaky and easy to miss.

Sure its underhanded but this is another lesson in reading the settings and I thank lightning for bringing this to our attention as a report would likely not do anything as he skirted the rules and did not break them. The only unfair advantage he had was knowing the settings.

This is actually a very clever point farm. There is nothing technically illegal about it because it was correctly advertised. I suppose the only thing you can do about it is blacklist. :P

Actually, yes. This is illegal. Fizzer has said that doing this DOES violate some rule or other and some have been penalized or banned for similar things.

Wasn't Vostro suspended a while ago as well?

Vostorro could have been suspended for any number of reasons you can't know if it was because of this specifically.

He could have done another one of these and someone spoke out about it and he cursed them out. That could lend to a suspension.
