Anyone else's maps on games go missing? Chat still works, but the map has gone completely for all members of my team. Also, taking ages to log into warlight when i tried to sign in and out...

Warlight has now switched to a new host (Amazon, I believe.) For me, Warlight now runs a lot faster than it used to, but sometimes it still experiences problems. I am pretty sure it is different for everyone, as some people have experienced better results, whereas other players are complaining. I'm pretty sure that is why it takes forever to login/out.

As for the games, I am not sure. I would expect it to be the new host, but I can't be too certain.


And thank you Fizzer for the new host! It runs a lot faster for me, and hopefully in a few weeks (or days) everyone can appreciate the new changes made.

The database is a little overloaded right now since there are a lot of people playing. I'm upgrading it to a faster machine within the next hour or so.

When you say "the map disappeared, but the chat was still working", what do you mean?

The map was gone... the game loaded, everything was there, even troops addition, commit etc... but the map was black and the list for the players (on the right) would not scroll so couldnt see all players, chat was also very delayed :)

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Usually I find that if you move the computer around and refresh the page, or if you exit the browser and restart, then generally, it will load again. you also might want to check the Flash player you are currently using, because it always updates, and sometimes I am unable to access Warlight for a long period of time, without knowing I have an outdated version of Flash.


If everything else fails, just restart the computer, and if that doesn't work......well, I don't know. Usually after I restart my computer it automatically starts getting good connection, even though the server in my dorm is still faulty.

Well, i restarted my computer. Closed browser. Deleted cookies. Changed internet browser. I did all of the above too :)... it is very unusual indeed :) it just happened to everyone on my team/that game at once :)

oh flash player was updated just before i played so shouldnt have been a problem :) but good idea :)
