JSA is rating himself on average guys. Obviously he's number one when focussed and way out unfocussed. I think 9 is a fair average position.

No one is putting Fizzer on their lists.

Is he even a decently good WarLight player?

Best overall: 1v1s, team games (large and small), FFAs, numerous maps, LD, multiattack...

I seriously doubt any of your rankings take into account the totality of WL. And since the forum seems to overemphasize the importance of the ladders (very limited) and our leagues (also limited), I doubt we will ever go beyond this type of subjective measure of "best overall" players based on limited experience and knowledge.

A universal ELO would help. In the absence of a universal ELO, a league with 1v1s, 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s, LD 1v1s, multiattack 1v1s, and FFAs would be the next best option.
But we will never have a Best Overall Player Competition:

(1) the "best" players will cherry pick which games/tournaments they join, if any, based on what they are good at and/or what they like;
(2) top FFA, multiattack, and LD players are largely overlooked and wouldn't be invited;
(3) it is an organizational nightmare;
(4) it would involve too many games over too long a period of time.

So, we are left with rumors and gossip, forum chit-chat, Fizzer's limited ladders, a limited Champions League (no LD, MA, or FFAs, limited sample size).

In the meantime, anyone who even uses the words "best overall" is a bit presumptuous. You need data to measure such a thing! Currently, we have incomplete data!
