I think helms deep is one of J.R.R Tolkeins middle earth locations.
Any way looks good it just need to give the deep streams a different name each like maybe deep stream 1,deep stream 2 or northern deep stream, southern deeps streams.

Thanks for the advice about renaming the territories, can you think of anything else?

i think the river should either be a lot bigger bonus or split into smaller ones, it'll be really hard to get
other than that it looks to me like the south will win every time in a north VS south battle, i might be mistaken though, i'm not experienced in map making :(

I agree with warflowvet, the river needs to be split up, right now its going to be way to hard to capture, and the territories need names/different names (like ironheart said about the deeping stream). Other than that, I think its pretty good. About the south allways winning vs the north, I dont know, but I guess you'll find out in testing.

When you say the South always wins, do you mean the left side of the map (as the compass would suggest)?

if you want i can check of the accuracy with the actual story...

btw the north (no by compass) won the 'real' battle.

Arun, you know we mean south/north normally, not by the compass. In case anyone was wondering, as far as I know, he oriented the compass correctly according to the book/movie.

I recommend you not to publish this one. Looks like this is your first ever map that you did and just checked out how its going. Make from this something "bigger" because in that state no one will playing this map. (100% info)

On the last page of the map development forum, Matama shows how to tidy up borders. I suggest you try it (the territories have big gaps between them).

Thanks Arun, I will take care of the borders as soon as I can. Also thanks for the referral to Matama's tutorial, it should solve the problem.

I've seen people play with smaller maps, so you should be fine. :)

Do all of the territories completely fit a 2-digit number? Some territories, such as Drainage Gate, don't look like they'd fit the 2-digit number.

It turns out that Drainage Gate territory does fit the 2-digits, but the Gate territory in the Central Level bonus does not. Thanks for pointing that out =D
