Is there a setting to have multiple "rounds" in it?

If not, it would be nice to be able to. So maybe if you have a small group of friends (or a small clan), you could still play a decent sample of games.

An example would be a 4 person round robin with 3 rounds. Then you'd end up playing 9 games (3 against each person) before determining a winner.

What do you think?

Great idea! The problem is that it is a lot of commitment. There should be a limit of 10 players or so. Otherwise you could end up with almost 60 games that you have to play. I think with 10 or less players though, it would be very cool. And it'd also be good to be able to use different maps for each round. You could make a uservoice on it. I'd vote for it.

true, but in my opinion there shouldn't be a limit of 10 players or so. if you don't want to end up with 57 games, then you can just decline. but for some people, 57 games is fine and they will join.

Yeah, I agree with Brisk. You can decline. It should be a setting that is highlightable too, so that you can't miss it when it is more than 1 round.

Also, I have expressed my concerns with uservoice. New ideas are simply buried there. Unless votes expired and needed to be recast, there is no way anything new will ever climb the list. My goal is simply to make Fizzer aware of these ideas, so if he is more likely to see them there than here I will do it.

Brisk, A lot of newer players don't check settings on tournaments except maybe to check highlighted things. Which is why I think if more than 10 is allowed, it should definitely be highlighted, as Chris said. As long as most of the people realize that there are a lot of games involved, it should be fine.

and you should be able to configure it so you can have a group stage going onto a knockout round, and vice versa. you're able to do this on football games where you can create custom tournaments.

So like do a round robin with the top 4 going into a single elimination to finish it off?

either that or 8 groups of 4 with the top two going onto a knockout round. alternatively, you could start with 2^x players with the final 8 playing a round robin.
