well this post is basically about new warlighters, who recently become involved in the game, and have not bothered to actually try and complete a bit of single player mode first to get some practice and define their would be skills. i have recently become paired with quite alot of these new comers in tournaments that involve team games, they do not have any knowledge of how to play the game nor any skill or strategic thinking, therefore, you will always lose the game.

i've tried on countless occasions to assume command as im the only worthy candidate for the position, even though it is a team game, you still need someone to check others orders and tell them to re order as they have made a massive mistake and such, but obviously these noobs dont know how to do that, they think that its okay to just sign-up and go straight to online multiplayer mode. it is deeply frustrating when you're the only one who actually knows how to play the game and your team is getting obliterated.

therefore i propose that there should be a new system for which all new warlighters need to complete at least levels 1 and 2 in single player mode, like, the multiplayer mode should become locked until they have not completed it, this will help everyone in the long run, as than you wont become paired with a whole team of fresh of the boat noobs and they themselves actually learn some skill and how to play the game.

i mean, its common sense to actually find out how to play the game before diving straight in, e.g. i did not play online till i completed levels 1 and 2 in single player.

someone needs to notify Fizzer of this and it needs to be put into practice. please, for everyones benefit!

sorry for the grammatical and spelling mistakes, only diverting half of my attention on this since im watching a movie at the same time :D lool

I think levels 1 and 2 are a decent requirement, it will also discourage troll multiaccounts slightly and it only takes a few minutes if you actually need to make a serious multiaccount.

Thats what prerequisites are for.

if you find it a problem joining games with noobs then only create/join games that have a prerequisite of at least 50 games or so

yes same here warflowvet, and General mac, yeah i know, but this was a tournament i was invited to but i get your drift, but what im saying is that there should be a multiplayer unlock requirement of atleast completing levels 1 and 2.

auto games don't have prerequisites, and they take a minute to do (sometimes i'm too lazy). i think there should be a quick tutorial in single player also to learn how to surrender/vote to end/boot people who are taking too long, how "my games" and "open games" work etc.
it took me ages to figure out that i could go back to a game after closing the window by mistake (happened once) by going in "my games", i thought there was no way back =p

dont call other people noobs, cursed juggernaut, your stats aren't superb either.
set your preqs if you need, some good players just cant be f*cked to play the 2nd level.
and auto games are a easy way to win, not complaining ;)

haha I know that I'm not that superb, I didn't say i was, i still have alot to learn but I can still classify myself as having good general gameplay and knowledge, not the best but I'm not that crap either, what i meant was fresh of the boat noobs, as in, they've just created an account and chucked themselves in without any prior knowledge. but yeah, multiplayer tab should be locked if you haven't played levels 1 and 2 to be honest. :P

I say NO for the idea of booting tutorial (this would lead to a "generation" of boot-happy people using this feaature without hesitation and lots of players would get booted in picking turns by the booter-newcomers). I agree with everything else..

and I think I have a better solution for tournament team problem: RESERVATIONS system.
You would invite a player directly to your team - he would then accept or decline, or was forced out after a few days.

haha yeah fair enough! it would be the new "happy slapping" lool

and yes! the reservations idea sounds really good! if only fizzer could see this now! :D

Warlight as a whole would improve drastically as a result of these new suggestions! :)

@yellow, to get the 16% luck (as far as i know) you can't change open seat requirements if you're not a member. of course, this is a perfect occasion for me to make fun of all those non-members now that i've got a membership ;D
as for you fridge i agree entirely, just in the last 2 days i've had 2 ****s join my team when i'd reserved the spot in chat. (they said sorry after, but after the tournament started (= too late)).

very good idea. It ticks me off to see so many games with players whose accounts have nothing underneath the single-player challenges completed and have 0 multiplayer games.

Arc77, we all share your frustration, this is why both mine and Fridge's idea should be taken into account and something be done about it.
