Fizzer just released a new version of Medium Earth, "Heavy" Earth, where some of the bigger bonuses, such as Europe and those in Russia were split.

Will their be a light earth(you know a map where all the bonuses are 8 territories or more.Also i will play on this and the one earth where russia is changed soon.

Pretty cool. My main problem with medium earth was that some of the bonuses are very large. If there was a divided West china and possibly caucasus, I would say that this is an excellent update. Good job, fizzer.

I personally think the map is pretty good for 2v2. However, I think it depends a lot on the settings. I think 3 starts is needed instead of just two, and I think Knife is right about lowering the values of Caucasus and West China. But with the right settings, it could definitely be one of the top 5 2v2 maps in the game, possibly the best. I think if Fizzer would make a 2v2 Seasonal Ladder, we could play this map on it for the first season and it would be a lot of fun.

I don't like it much. 154 territories. It's a tweener, neither a big map (200+) nor a small map (80-135). But the bonuses are divided up as if it were a small map. This affects the strategy in an odd way. A few less divisions (and a few more artistic divisions, eg the US) and I'd like it more. It's not bad, but it could've been better.

First impression is there are too many small bonuses, also income-wise (for strategic settings). Cracking a 4 and 3 2's to get a +2 in income is not much.
With 4-5 starting spots this could be an ok map, but I'd prefer to see all the bonuses get +1 in value, except Caucasus and W-China.
I agree that this could become a great 2v2 map.

By doing almost nothing to Africa, it looks like it improved the bonuses that already exist within it. (Granted, Antarctica now looks a bit odd.)

I know what small earth is,but light earth will be medium earth but them grouped into large bonuses from 8 territories to more.Like South Africa merged with west or east Africa and making south-east africa or south west africa bonus.Light earth will be just a med earth map where all the territories are just making large bonuses which will be interesting for game play.

Looks like a fun map. My only concern is shouldn't Russkaya and Scott (the eastern and western most Antarctica territories) be connected? They are in the regular map and Medium Earth.

Very nice and fun-looking map, but shouldn't Kazakhstan be worth at most 4? All of the other bonuses have been decreased, besides the Middle east which was already a heavy bonus in the original.

I don't think you guys realize it, but it's nearly impossible to grab Caucasus or West China uncontested. Never can West China be isolated completely, same goes for Caucasus. The divisions in Europe and Russia won't ever allow it. Unless the Gods of Probability come down and somehow manage it, it will just never happen. Therefore the bonuses yield an incentive to a risky play, that is.. being able to take either of those 2 bonuses and keep them. The only issue with the map is the amount of 2s. They look very tantalizing but doing the math, combos of 3 can be taken in the same timeframe, with a better output. (3 2 bonuses = 12 territories. 2 3 bonuses = 10 territories. It takes 3-4 turns to take 3 2 bonuses, most likely 4 unless very lucky. Takes 3 turns to take 2 3 bonuses.)

If there were a bit more 3 bonuses, it'd be a much better map. But that's my opinion.
