EDIT: Yeah, why not - if you see a good strategic tournament, post it here in the format DUT©H DESI®E did in post 4

Filters for sorting tournaments would be great, but until that happens, it seems to me that we could just have a running forum thread that collected all the strategic sorts of tournaments with key details posted (map, number of players in a game, RR/elim, number of players in tournament) - it would be much much easier to skim a forum thread than load each tournament in turn (and then reload the "open tournaments" page in between each one of course.

I say this as someone who's too lazy to actually implement it, so this is me selfishly hoping someone else is more motivated by the idea than I am...?

EDIT: List with most basic information:

A lot of it depends on your definition of "strategic."

I mean, some stuff is always going to be open to debate. But you could put guidelines where for most tournaments it was clear whether they work or not. The edge cases people could bitch about. Everyone wins. But...

16% luck or better
Random Warlords or Random Cities
2 Teams or 2 players
Maps with bonuses that are entirely or mostly bonus+1 or +2 in size
Nothing completely outlandish in the other conditions?
Other requirements
