How do I drop games that I have surrendered in and in which I was booted while on vacation? It is very annoying to scroll thru my games and find that I must monitor games that I have no further interest in watching.

click on the "options" button just above your games and click on "active games where i'm not eliminated" and "check the save as default" box

Click Options ----> Game Filter ----> Games where it is my turn (or have unread messages) i prefer the filter that also shows the chat it helps in team games etc. But either of those options should be ok for you.

Edit or what waka said. Basically just pick the option that's best for you from the drop down box.
