How does this work?

I notice that sometimes new posts to a Notable Forum Thread show updated posts on the Community Home Page. However, it seems after a time, the Notable Threads stop updating on the Community Page, even though new posts are being added to them.

When you click: See All Posts, you'll see the updated lists of Notable Forum Threads with new posts at the top of the list that didn't appear on the community page.

Just curious... seems like the Community Tab could be more in sync with the All Threads List.

Also, can it be a profile option whether to include all posts, or just notable posts, on the community page?

I really like the idea of being able to customize your own community page. Infact, brb to Uservoice.

It clearly doesn't work properly or my thread would be the top result there permanently.

Notable threads expire after a week. This keeps it fresh for people who check the community tab infrequently.

But what about >1 week old notable threads that have new posts... it seems like that should keep updated on the Community Page.

the whole notable forum posts system isnt really working nicely imho. you end up having to click through "how non-notable forum posts" every time you want to see what's new and those other threads usually have less posts since they now have much less visibility now. PITA IMHO.

I used to quickly look at new posts on the dashboard, while now i dont even blink on it.. after clicking community tab, i instantly click forums, and open forums in new tabs and look directly from there. I find the notable post system way to subjective and censored in an odd illogical way..

I agree also that the notable thread thing isnt working. i used to also look here to see what was new, now i need to click through to the forum to see because the person deciding whats notable (whoever it is) clearly doesnt share the same views as me.

whats also anoying is that because i have to click through to the forum i very rearly look in the maps section which means i miss all the new threads here

as a result of the notable threads section im sure that i am using the forums much less as its harder (only slightly mind you) to see whats new

the only thign that the new system was able to do was to kill the other forums, i wont spend my time checking 4 forums, i just check the general

Ps you could click the show all button at the buttom instead of typing it all and you could bookmark the page.

That's not accurate either because the above thread is never featured (maybe it was the first week but since then, nothing)
