Lately I hae been looking though the maps list as you do, looking though all the different settings when i came across a great map. Sure enough it was small but it was good. So i decided to loook for more maps by the same creator. This is where the problems kicked in.
There is no 'sort by creator' section for maps and i think warlight needs one. Not only will it elt you see other maps of creators you like but widen the range of types of maps people play.
Its just enougher idea that would inprove warlight.

You could also make it show all maps in one big list, and then use CTRL+F. But I agree such an option would be easier.

I know it's off-topic, but I wanted to cheer.

If you want to play my maps all the time skunk you can just use my profile to get to them. No need for a sorting :)

And if you have more than three?

I take it that is the limit in your profile? I wasn't being serious if you couldn't tell.

To be serious for a moment, isn't the favorite system better than a sort by author? What would the sort default be? Alphabetic doesn't really seem like it would really help.

It would be more helpful IMO to have a link on map pages (for example: http://warlight.net/Map?ID=2881) that says "See more maps by this author" or something like that. Or in the drop down where it says "Featured Maps", "All Maps", "Your Maps", etc...that it had a "Favorite Authors" drop down as well. Then you could see all maps by your favorite people, and then you could apply the sort after (territory amount, rating, etc).
