Please add me.

Also, maybe add a C league. I don't want to be playing with or against noobs that are picking turkey and Greece and Spain as their first 3 picks if I end up in B league and I'm sure many others would say the same? Perhaps a league for top players, b league for good players, and c league for others?

I think you really jumped the gun Qi. I was obviously heading towards a more consistent structured thing, with more people. But good players are very picky about the multiday games they take on. They want sociable games against good, focused opponents. They get burned out on a template or idea quickly and once theyre out then it takes a lot to draw them back in. I think if this grows too quickly then itll be like 20A league again. Youll convince timi and ruthless into a game with someone irritatingly average (mentioning no names) and theyll be done with the idea.

If you can get the good players to play then getting the plebians to follow is very easy. ATM you have too many plebians and not enough myhands'.

Useless 3v3 so-called "pro" players aka puppets. Can't do anything on their own. This league is pathetic - it's nothing more than another mutual patting on their heads. Same people praising the same people all over again. Open your eyes. No ladder - no one cares. And there is no place for teamgame ladders! only 1v1 matters. now and forever! #masterrace

I'll play. In fact I already joined the game you've made.

Side question to the native speakers - which one's correct:
"In fact I already joined the game you've made."
or
"In fact I've already joined the game you made."
or
what? :D

Ive played with gnuff twice in the last year, thats not again and again. I havent heard gnuffs assesment of players but i would like to. Getting a sense of who is good and who is pro before all the bridges get burned is pretty much what i was doing before you started interfering. It would be for the best if you stopped now i think.

Grammar Nazi Lolowut here:

Neither of those sentences are correct. You require a comma after "In fact."

The variation of where you put 'have' does not matter though.

In fact, I have already joined the game you made.

In fact, I already joined the game you have made.

So long as you use have at least once the sentence is correct. You can even use have twice if you so choose.

Haha, Busted! :D namib - lolwhat 1:0

I don't quite get how the placement of "have" can make no difference to whether the sentence is correct or not, but thanks for the answer, mate ;)

is it the emphasis on which part of the sentence is more important?
or the slight differences in the meaning as in:

"In fact I already joined the game you've made." means I joined the game which has been made, and the game is still there, with a slight tone suggesting it's not necessarily true I am still joined.. maybe i left the game?

while
"In fact I've already joined the game you made." would be somewhat like I have joined the game, and did not leave but i have no idea if the game is still open, or maybe it has alrady started or is still waiting for others to join?

do i get it right?

edit: sorry for hijacking the thread guys but i would really want to know :P

I have already joined the game you have made.

Present perfect is used for an past action that is important in the present.

Using already in this sentence could stress different things, depending on the context.

For instance you want to give an information that the one you are speaking to does not need to ask you again to join. You want to answer him before he even asks.

Another possibility is the response to someone who asks you to join. You already did what he asks of you.

But it could also stress the fact that you already joined, while others didnt.

I already joined the game you made.

Past tense is used for an action that was finished in the past.

Using already in this context is not possible, but i could be wrong.

You could say I had already joined the game you made. Meaning you had joined before the game that was made ended.

I want to play games with good players too, we all do. Given that we all want the same thing, getting it is remarkably difficult. 20A, the ladders and HHH invitationals consistently did not attract all the good players and do not produce a satisfying number of high level games. Already Ive dealt with disagreements and we had to delete and vote on many more games, and we only have 1 good game to show for it. Thats with just 4 people involved. Its not going to get smoother as it scales up unless I iron out the kinks and it grows organically.

I do want to organise everything and I would like you to stop stepping on my toes. Your interference is a problem because good players get burned out on a template or idea quickly and once theyre out then it takes a lot to draw them back in.
