1v1 ladder: Change the map to Modified Medium Earth?

Modified Medium Earth
Pros = east US/east Russia (+2 good picks)
Cons = more thinking (new map, east US/east Russia change game)

Medium Earth
Pros = not broke, don't fix
Cons = few good picks in some games (win pick-lottery, maybe win game)

1v1 ladder: Change the move order to cyclic? http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Move_Order

Cyclic
Pros = predicatable (fair)
Cons = predicatable (not funny), more thinking (count order, new strategy)

Random
Pros = not predictable (more variables to game theory), less thinking/counting, funny
Cons = not predictable (sometimes not fair)

1v1 ladder: Increase the number of games required to achieve a rank?

Pros = diminish stalling and gaming the ladder
Cons = More games to play

1v1/2v2 ladder: Require players complete X consecutive games to achieve a rank?

Pros = Less Stalling
Cons = Penalises both teams. let's say i met in a ladder game one player i hate, and i am doing pretty bad. The chance i stall to him is high.

1v1/2v2 ladder: Switch to TrueSkill?

TrueSkill http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread?ThreadID=53597&Offset=60
Pros = Fairer rating system. It has shown to work in the RT ladder after some initial complaints and it would help a bit against stalling. If you play enough games that contradict the loss, TS will correct itself and you will get the same (actually, a very similar) rating as you would have when that loss never happened.
Cons = ?

Bayesian elo http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Ladder_Ranks_and_Ratings
Pros = new ladder run when games expire, ripple down effect (recent games effect current ratings)
Cons = inflated ratings

1v1 ladder: Reduce matchmaking range?

Pros = Makes more sense now ladder is busier. Less stalling. More competitive arena.
Cons = Takes longer to reach your true rating/rank.

1v1 ladder: Change luck modifier? http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Rounding_mode

0% weighted random
Pros = the gameplay DOESN'T change, but the luck involved decrease. Ladder is a competetive event. shouldn't have luck as major role. attacks like 7v4 won't fail. if is 16% weighted random, it should became 0% weighted random (less luck = good)
Cons = less luck = boring for some

0% straight round
Pros = No luck at all involved (except move order). if is 16% straight round, it should became 0% straight round, in every ladder (less luck = good).
Cons = Boring for some.

1v1 ladder: Increase the blockade multiplier to 500% like the 2v2 ladder?

Pros = More dynamic blokades.
Cons = Blokades become overpowered

1v1/2v2 ladder: Increase the time it takes for games to expire?

Pros = A truer rating in a short period.
Cons = Takes longer to register a skill improvement.

2v2 ladder: Change the map?

Medium Earth http://warlight.net/Map?ID=737
Pros = some like it
Cons = too small to provide 12 picks, More than 2 Spots per person would be necessary to decrease pick-lottery

Modified Medium Earth http://warlight.net/Map?ID=7224
Pros = east US/east Russia (+2 good picks)
Cons = too small to provide 12 picks (esp if wastelands stay same), More than 2 Spots per person would be necessary to decrease pick-lottery

Heavy Earth http://warlight.net/Map?ID=7361
Pros = big enough map for more than 2 picks per player. More than 2 Spots per person would be necessary to decrease pick-lottery
Cons = new map (new strategy, more thinking), longer games

Final Earth http://warlight.net/Map?ID=14538
Pros = big enough map for more than 2 picks per player. More than 2 Spots per person would be necessary to decrease pick-lottery
Cons = new map (new strategy, more thinking), longer games

2v2 ladder: Reduce the multiplier on the blockade card?

Pros = More based on attacking/clever deployment/smart gifts.
Cons = Blockade becomes underpowered.

Real-time ladder: total number of templates?

10
Pros = ?
Cons = ?

x < 10
Pros = Lose shit templates.
Cons = Some like those templates.

x > 10
Pros = More good templates.
Cons = More templates (more thinking)

Real-time ladder: Show number of players online, but not who?

Pros = can't manipulate the ladder by choosing opponents
Cons = can't manipulate the ladder by choosing opponents

Make 3v3 EU ladder (random warlords, no cards)? http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TemplateID=283880

Pros = popular template, popular map (#4 map ratings 4.4/5, Europe have most map ratings on warlight with 2255 total map ratings, imperium romanum have 1921, Rise of rome have 1883, Medium Earth have only 1852 with autogames/ladders)
Cons = ?

Make Pop-Up notification for RT-Ladder-Game?

Pros = avoid the boot, truer ratings and ranks
Cons = Fizzer works

for %0 weighted random you are basically eliminating the obscure attacks from working, but still allowing 3v2s to fail. Some would view that as a pro, others a con (eliminating those attacks).

the last one (real time players hidden):
Pro - can't manipulate the ladder by choosing opponents
Con - I don't think there is one. Other ladders you don't know who you will play for most part, why should you on RT?

I like how you put thinking into Cons :)

EDIT: about blockade card: in 2v2 ladder it's 500%, because very rarely one player have more, than 15 income if the game isn't clearly over (at least from my expedience when playing against good players). So mostly you're not able to put significant blockade

From the other hand, in 1v1 ladder blockades made of stack of >5 units are very common, therefore x3,51 multiplication is ok
