The first few games have finished and they looked like fun. I would like to join this seasonal ladder, without it overlapping with my 1v1 ladder run, which will take at least another week.

I remember last season Tim didn't get all 20 games because he joined too late in the season. Can anyone see a way to calculate what date I need to join by to ensure I get the full 20 games?

Is there an advantage/disadvantage to joining later in the season?

If you join at the start of the ladder you get 4 games at once, and then 1 new game each 3 days, up to the maximum of 20.

If you join later, you get 1 new game each day until you reach the total number of games the others have, and after that 1 new game each 3 days.

So, so theoretically you could join in a month and a half and still get your 20 games, but you'll have to play many at once..



Anyway, the wiki says you says something else, so maybe someone should back me up on what I said, just to be sure.

To have the best chance at getting #1, you will want to join ASAP and stay joined for the entire season.

Sounds like a marketing ploy. Order now while supplies last!

you need enough other people with "games left" to make you 20 games :)

Season III, I joined 43 days after it started. With 17 days left in the season, I was issued and finished all 20 games. However, to win it, match-ups make a huge difference, so you want to join ASAP and win early to draw better opponents.
