Many declines / surrenders here, guess that's party because of the templates.
Carl is inactive, hope he get back, but this thing need a host to work,
now. Any volunteers? Just to finish this season, I can do next one, but right now I'm participating, so that could be unfair.
What with current round? I think games / tournaments already created should be played out, the sooner the better.
Some changes for next (or even current) seasons I was thinking about:
• Joining deadlines.
Games / tournaments for 2nd round were created 18 days ago! 3 day deadline to join is more than enough.
There should be some penalties for exceeding it, like -1 point per one day, 3 days late = removed from the league. Not sure what with vacations here.
• Templates.
I don't like the idea of host picking templates. My idea: Host of the league should provide few templates, and each participant can propose one for 1vs1 and one for 2vs2, up to 3 days before the league start.
Later players vote for the templates, having 5 points to assign in both 1vs1 and 2vs2. Voting lasts only 3 days.
Top 3 are going to be used in rounds 1-3, host pick which one when.
Probably something similar for final round.
• Reserve?
Some groups are spoiled by one player inactive or not participating. Should we add a reserve?
In 1st round that would mean players willing to join the league, in next rounds players that were 3rd in previous round (first come first served). Reserve players would have to join in 2 days after being invited.
