Firstly, I am not American and therefore to not claim those rights.
Secondly, who is stopping me from speaking here?
Thirdly, what law is there that denies me to speak on the internet?

I'm not sure what country you hail from Piggy where you think you are right to deny me free speech. Most nations i understand of signed up to the UN international human rights charter which includes freedom of speech.

So I freely say fuck you! :P

Although, Fizzer has powers to deny my rights on this website alone. :)

I hate this internet tactic of comparing larger events or events happening elsewhere in the world to what is happening in Boston. Of course I know thousands of people have died in Syria, Somalia, and basicly all around the world. I feel just as bad for those people as I do for the victims of the Boston bombing, but stop trying to water down the loss of these people and accept that this is a tragedy as well!

Aranka I do not feel like getting into an argument with you as we are both hard set on our opinions. I do feel sad for people around the world, but I will admit I have a bias towards Americans closer to home as do all people to their respective countries. Does this mean that I do not care about the thousands of civilians who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan due to out invasions or the loss of thousands in Syria to the ongoing civil war? No, I hate that these people could not be saved and I hate even more that their killers will not be brought to justice.

I as well weep today.

I would be raging right now if we weren't friends, Boston. There are a lot of things I could say to these, but foremostly, you shouldn't be co-opting a tragedy to talk about yourself. It's unbecoming, at best, egotistical at worst. If there's a time for personal anecdotes about these events, that time is long after the dust has settled.

Catbus....I will keep on saying my opinion.

Just like everyone else, people have a right to say their opinion. Be this a welcome one or not.
Hell, I'm even oke with people denying the holocaust. I mean if creationists are allowed to be so deluded that the earth is 6400 years old then some wacko's can believe the holocaust didn't happen. So long as the latter is not being coupled with demands against human rights it's all fine in my book.

Lets put it in perspective Boston:

Obama has authorized 193 drone strikes in Pakistan – four times the amount authorized by George W. Bush. According to Global Research, over the past 4 years Obama has authorized attacks in Pakistan which have killed more than 800 innocent civilians and just 22 Al-Qaeda officers.

Here is a list of children that died in those U.S. terrorist attacks in Yemen and Pakistan.
But hey, they speak the wrong language, they have the wrong colour of skin they must be worth less than a young boy of the city you grew up in.
So lets call them collateral damage and forget about them.

Btw I find it "funny" (not the right word) that in Pakistan almost all the children casualties are of a male gender.
It really makes me wonder why there is such a statistically significant difference between the two.

Great, so everyone agrees with me that a dystopian society is exactly what we need, where we can all be dump and careless, and won't hurt each other.

But you guys are missing the point. It doesn't matter about color of skin or language spoken, what matters is how close to home it hits. The people on the forums don't realize the devistation due to propoganda and the fact that they're either EUPROEAN or AMERICAN (just being general, those seem to be the two highest populations). They aren't PAKISTIANIAN. Such as when the queen of England eventually dies, her family will feel sad, but so will people in the surrounding nations, as she is an icon. When 9/11 happened, people in the United States felt weak, exposed. They let terrorism scare them. You're arguing over different forms of terrorist attacks, when the real problem isn't how you see them- it's the people.

I'm not exactly in support of my president, but I don't think the man would authorize the senseless killing of people without a reason. Here, the reason is likely that he thinks he'll be doing the right thing without hurting too many people. We all make mistakes, don't we? We have to consider the risks and sometimes we choose wrong. It's not entirely right to pin this whole thing on Obama.

The human mind is in a constant, natural state for needing of conflict. It contradicts our morals and feeds our lesser side. Why do you think people argue so much on the forums? Why we like to watch people argue?d Point being, as soon as we stop desiring conflict, and as soon as we are all equal (with a superior court to preside over our actions... because dystopia, yanno?), we'll stop fighting. But seeing as that isn't going to happen without a genetic alteration to humans and many, many years, what we need to learn to see is how to help each other.

You're arguing over deaths, things that have already happened. Things that are final. What you should be focusing on are ways to prevent fear, ways to provide without hurting.

You should also stop putting Aranka down, she's smart. She knows what she talks about. This may be a patriartical forum, but fucking GIVE HER A CHANCE. Sexism was something bred into humans as a result of religion. You're so proud of not believing in a diety-- stop following in his preacher's footsteps.

But hey, [the children who died in Pakistan] speak the wrong language, they have the wrong colour of skin they must be worth less than a young boy of the city you grew up in.

This tragedy happened in Boston's home city. It could have easily been him (or his friends) who was injured/killed. That's why he's so upset about this. I'm not arguing that the children killed during the drone strikes in Yemen and Pakistan don't matter (in fact, I wish more people were aware of what's happening there). But it's unfair to accuse him of racism just because he's angry about the bombings.

While Aranka can sometimes contribute to the stereotype that women are extremely sensitive, Dead piggy & Catbus can be way too mean to her (Dead Piggy's behavior in particular disgusts me). Also, sexism has existed forever; it's a completely natural human behavior. Blaming religion for it is unfair and lazy. I'm sure that there are sexist religions, just as there are sexist people and sexist cultures. But those are anecdotal exceptions, not the norm.

(And yes, I do realize I'm writing this in a multi-account, but everything I said was serious. Please take it seriously.)

I'm not trying to say that religion invented sexism, but look at Christianity. (Now would probably be a good time to mention that I'm not Atheist, I actually am a Christian, so I'm not religion-bashing just because of my personal views.) The Bible... you know how many books were written by women? 1. Have you ever counted the references to women saving the world, or being holy? No, it's always men. Men and boys. Then look at the 'banned books,' books that through some point in time or another have been removed from the Bible. 90% of those books were written or co-written by women, listing women's deed's and showing actions that made people seem less than holy. Then look at the church. Women were fucking nuns. Men were pages, priests, popes. The /supported/ the spread of sexist values, instilled them in the very subconscious of their followers. It's always the patriarch mentioned first. Why? What makes women suddenly so unclean and unholy?

And then look at the 'barbarian' clans. The civilizations the Romans conquered let women fight as well as men. The Greeks had equal male and female deities. And have you ever wondered why, if no one can see God, that we know he's male?

So again, not saying that religion invented sexism, but it certainly spread it and hardened feelings.

Some of you people really sicken me.

This is supposed to be about mourning the deaths of these people at the hands of a lunatic. Just because someone has this happen so close to home and wants to post about it and try to talk about it, doesn't mean this doesn't happen in the rest of the world. It doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't matter. It just means that someone cared enough to make a post about it.

If you feel the need to make your own thread about deaths, bombings, or whatnot from something that is close or dear to you, FEEL FREE. Don't come here and troll a thread which had good intentions.

Some of the players from this site were extremely close to this bombing. BostonBruins (AHOL) lives in Boston so this is something really close to home for him.

[V.I.W] seahawks is staying in a hotel three blocks from where the explosions were. He was on lockdown with the bomb squad outside his hotel for most of the night. He is now allowed to leave, but only if he goes directly in the direction which is opposite the bomb site.

Please, if you want to troll or demean anything or anyone, don't do it in this thread. Human acts like this are terrible regardless of where they happen. The acts in Yemen and Pakistan are terrible, yes. Do I dispute this? No. I don't think anyone here does. Things like this do happen all the time, all around the world. Just because one situation is taken attention to like this doesn't mean it means more. It is just closer to home for many players. If you want to make your own thread about other issues, bombings, or grievances, then do it. Don't come in here and get all pissy though.
