seahawks, full distribution is one of the three distributions added to every map on Warlight (The other two being Random Cities/Warlords). Thus there's no need for him to add it.
What strikes me as odd about this map is that it's 9x9 - Checkers is 8x8, with international draughts as 10x10, and some others with 12x12... but never 9x9.
You can't laugh at someone failing Motocross, because you made a checkers map 9x9 when everyone knows checkers is 8x8. At least, I thought everyone....
Well made, but seems like gameplay would be pretty boring, especially in 4 player mode. I suppose playing with wastelands would add some variety. Nobody will ever hold a bonus (an entire row/column). Maybe make quadrant bonuses or something as well (in blocks of 5 spots or 13)? With the center one being more valuable?
You should add more bonuses and set them to 0 so game-creators have the option of modifying their game.
Blockbonuses (simple would 9 blocks of 3x3, but maybe also add 4 blocks of 4x4 in the corners)
together with diagonal bonuses could spice up the game a lot.
continuing on what powerneg said, you could work with squares, where (I don't know how to decently explain this) all squares touching a single black can be a bonus or you take a triangle and all 5 in there should be a bonus ( you know a bonus shaped like a 5 on a dice)
There is not much to review about this map as much as i would like to :) it's checkers :). One remark though for such a simple map it's surprising you failed to align the cubes properly they are wandering all over the place. Besides that i can't say i have any other remarks or praises.
Also one other thing I noticed is the fact that only one distribution mode (4ffa, which is a good one), but I think you should add some, such as the entire rows and collums on the outside or however you say that. Also I might suggest for perhaps a mode which will cover every other line both horizonal and/or vertical
And almost forgotten, you might want to add a bonus for the diagonals (a one built in on a certain amount default for the big ones and the smaller ones put default at 0 so they may be altered by players, also adding the corners).
