I agree that they probably would beat me, but I disagree with the "for sure". They have more on hand fighting experience and would probably be more used to getting down and dirty, but still that doesn't mean it's a lost cause for me.
I started training in Judo when I was three and in Wu-shu when I was 5. Not sorely recreational either since I used to train 2 hours a day.
So far Ronda Rousey is the only one of the lot who would actually have a higher rank/degree then me.

It would be prepostorous of me assuming that i could survive a round against a Fedor Emilianenko an Anderson Silva or anyone else in that league for that matter. And I am not untrained myself and i among other encounters already had to fight in a life and death situation with a holdup murderer and a kickboxing drugdealer.
Also, your belt has one purpose, it is there to keep your pants up. A black belt does it as good as a blue or a white one. I witnessed so many people in my life that confused belt color or graduation with combat skills, its ridiculous. People that know what they are talking about will never mention the color of their belt.

But dont get me wrong. I think you are a smart girl and if you put the same grade of dedication and thought in your training and fighting tactics, that you put in arguing in these forums, you are certainly above the average of people that train/trained the same amount of time in the same weightclass.

I concur that in the European and American systems belts are given away too easily and up to 2nd dan don't hold much value.
On the other hand, any dan above that will be much harder to gain and uphold.

Furthermore one should have learned as you put it (those who know what they are talking about) that the goal of any martial arts should not be beating others in contests like the MMA but in improving one self. It's not just a way of fighting, but a way of looking at things and understanding one's place in it.
