is this a record? or in the past another team already won a lot of games in a row?

Record wise though it loses it's value if you're still far below Jupiter and Mannerheim in the ranking.
With the ladder system winning doesn't mean gaining more points.

I do have to admit though in the lost games you guys did get a bit unlucky with regards to offensive attacks

You gain points initially. But it adds a downward pressure on your upper limit. And when those easy wins expire, you might even see a boost in your rating (if your other games are mainly wins against quality opponents).

The above is why

Team Relite's 2076 > Gnuff/Frank's 1940
14-2 record (2 easy wins) > 16-1 record (13 easy wins)

So they might have to wait for those easy wins to expire before they move to #1, and then only if Team Relite leaves the ladder: more losses will accumulate for Gn/Fr than for Team Relite.

yeah we get unlucky with opponent, really too easy opponent with low rating : (

if you play 2 games at a time, then you'll meet better opponents quicker, and if you win, you get nice ladder boosts. :P
