how was chaos only banned for a month? in the game http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=4367811, he spams chat, swears constantly, he actually said F*** YOU 1000 times in a row, just spamming it in chat, except it wasnt sensored, then he went on to say F*** fizzer, f*** the mods, and i dont give a f***, i think he should have been banned for a year at least, if not forever

I'd have just deleted his account, then IPBanned him, and called it a day.

I used to be an admin on a game with a lot more players than warlight has, and frequently permbanned people for much, much less.

Hypothetically, yes.

Not hard to bypass an IP ban and/or multi-account without appearing to be the same person.

ie.

If they have the same IP - they are the same person.

If they don't have the same IP - they still could be the same person.

Or on the flip side, if they have the same IP, they use the same computer, but are in fact two entirely different people.

Very unlikely.

I'm not saying that same IP is always same person, but in this case I have absolutely no doubts that they would be the same person if the IP was the same.

some people share their connection for different reasons: roommates, visiting friends, relatives.

ps: or LAN IP masking.. same public IP, many different users..

Also, i do think that the banning for using alternative accounts on multiple teams is actually quite difficult and/or time-consuming, and Fizzer isn't going to investigate unless given a better reason then "i don't like him and he's got a better winrate then me."

You can read what the two posts above yours already stated.

You apparently lack the ability to critically think though or you'd realize that people were talking about a specific instance of two specific people, who have identical habits, and not just saying that in general all accounts with the same IP must be the same person.

i have a better win rate than him, he said f*** fizzer, along with saying f*** you 2000 times,except he DIDNT censor it, im just to polite to say it on an online site
