Why do I only get 1/10 of the points my mates get?

I only receive 300-500 points for a win while my mates get 3000-5000.
Why is that and can I do something about it?

or are they better at the game?

ad block makes you get on 10 % of the points you would have gotten otherwise. In http://warlight.net/points if you hold your mouse over the points you have gotten in a game you can see anything reducing/increasing the amount of points gotten
