I just finished my first map, specifically designed for a 24 players scenario distribution. It's a 400 territories map of Westeros, Essos and Sothoryos from the Game of Thrones universe. Would like some help testing it before it goes public.

Thanks to all!

Those are some high-value bonuses. :o

also, your map isn't "round" aka in a FFA(including the distribution you made) players can end up in the outer regions with only one way to attack and be attacked from, those players will have the advantage.

anyway, sign me up for some testing :)

Bonuses are not final. For now I put 2 armies per territory (3 for capital cities) for the base bonuses and 25% of the total for the big bonuses. I personally like games with bigger armies, I think they are more strategic. If however, I receive feedback that they should be lowered, I will do so in order to make the best playing experience out of this map.
Some bonuses are unfortunately cornered, but I did not find a satisfying way to balance the map completely while still respecting the GOT universe. There is no notion of crossing the Sunset Sea, as an example.
I had to fuse some factions (Braavos+Lorath, Lhazar split in two, Lys+Tyrosh)in order to have 24 factions. I also excluded the Far East (Jhogos Nhai, Yi Ti, Asshai) from the final map for the same reason. Also, these lands are never visited in the books and are of lower interest for roleplay. These lands are already designed in Inkscape however, so I can add them easily enough if needs be.

Since this is a first mapmaking experience for me, I don't really know how testing usually works. I will create a couple games tomorrow during the day (EST). Any feedback, good or bad, is welcome!

I think the bonuses should be lowered. Now in the begin of the game and advantage of 3 territories gives you 8 extra armies. I don't think that you'll need more strategie for this, but you'll need the starting position that is the most far away from the other players. Because of the small bonuses being worth so many you'll end up with a huge difference.

Version 1.1 : http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=23307

I added territories east of the Bone mountains, after deleting them at first on version 1.0. I also made an attempt at connecting territories circling the map, although I'm unsure I will keep it that way.
For the 24 players scenario, I combined some of the weaker Free Cities and destroyed Valyria, in order to introduce 3 new nations in the East: Yi Ti, the Jogos Nhai and Asshai. I made minor changes with some bonuses and also corrected a few connection mistakes thanks to helpfull feedback from fellow testers.

I'm starting a new beta game and will need more help from voluntary walighters willing to test this new version. Thank you all!

Need connections between "Kayakaynaya" and "Bone Pass" in Bone Mountains bonus, "Shadow shore and Jinqui" in the bonus Yi Ti, "The Edge of the Sea" is not connected with any of territories close from Westeros, "Smiling Sea" and "Summer Island aproach", "Cinnamon Straits" with "Sothoryos shore" and "Jade Gates", "Sothoryos shore" and "Axe Isle", "Orange shore" and "Valysar" in Volantis bonus, "Ny Sar" and "Myrth River" in Myr bonus, "Shield Bay" with "South and Green Shield" in Shield islands, "Pinkmaiden" with "Acorn Hall" and "Deep Den" -close to Riverrun.

It looks great man , obviously intended for that 24 player scenario, even for a Non - GoT fan like myself , I can say the map of the world itself is a real eye-opener.

This looks great! I will definitely play this map :)
I also have some humble comments and ideas, if I may:
I want to note, that for a 24 player map there will be quite unbalanced starting positions (for example THE REACH or BONE MOUNTAINS) bordering a more than an average number of neighbour bonuses.Maybe some connections between singular regions could be severed to mitigate the "exposure" of those bonuses.
Also, for playability a north-south connection (or several) could break up any east-west focused front-lines.

Thank you all for your comments. This should be pretty close from the final version : http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=23358

I removed the blackwater bridge connecting The Reach and the Riverlands to give both these bonuses a break, as suggested

As for the Bone mountains, they are already split between the Jhogos Nhai and Yi Ti in the scenario distribution, because they would indeed be a terrible starting position.

I'm affraid a North-South connection is not really possible for this kind of projection map.

I also lowered the bonuses at n-1 armies on land and n armies on sea. Land bonuses have the second, larger bonuses to compensate.

For the scenario, Sea nations (Braavos, Iron Islands, Ibben, Summer Islands) seemed to be underpowered, being true glass canons, so I completely reingeneered the sea territories to make them more defensively reliable. There are now more sea territories and less ports.
Since I changed that quite a bit, their might be a few connections mistakes there, but land connections should be fine at this point

I will probably make the map public this week, last chance for commentaries/suggestions!

Thanks again for everyone who helped!

As a tester of the map , playing it in it's final state was very rewarding , and it was nice to see it patched up . Considering round play , what the map's based on , and borders , etc., I'd give it 88% . Keep it up !

Love this map! I noticed an unmarked connection in Sothoryos between the ship "Sothoryos Bay" and "The Delta" - just thought I'd let you know.
