Now, I know this isn't the place to ask this, however the forum didn't allow me to post anywhere else, and this technically DOES fall under help... Now, who on Earth suggested the point/level map-unlock system? I have to admit, I made my account solely to ask this question, as I've been playing WarLight for at least a year, and as far as I know, almost 2 years at best, WarLight was a great time-killer for me, and while I do admittedly like the Multiplayer, most options are locked to you when first starting out, this is a bit of a peeve of mine, due to the inaccessibility of the game prior to leveling up. While albeit leveling up is quite simple, it's time consuming, this game is a means to kill time to me, and nothing more. I apologise if I offended anyone through the last statement, but it's the sad truth for my case. While that may not be true for some (Or most for all I know) people here, I'm merely speaking for myself.

TL;DR: The map-unlocking didn't do justice to offline players who enjoyed the game pre-2.0.

if your account has existed before WL 2.0 came into use, then all maps should be accessible, like my account.

Please read my post carefully; I created this account post-2.0, as I had no use for the membership benefits prior to this annoying level system.

I dont get it, then why did you make a new account if you can still play all the old maps?

Ok, let's recap slowly... I didn't have an account before 2.0, because I could play every map offline. Now that I can't because I didn't have an account at the time, I'm annoyed.

He didn't have an account previously because he only played single-player which does not require an account.

Had he paid any attention for the past month he could easily have created an account pre-2.0 and saved himself the hassle. Instead he waits until afterwards and complains about his own lack of foresight.

That is not really a quick question. But if your question is 'Now, who on Earth suggested the point/level map-unlock system?'
I would say probably Fizzer. Hope that answered your question.

i dont agree with you, i think new players might be overwhelmed by the amount of maps, and it would be good for them to have maps be shown slowly to them, would get people to try out more maps, which could be a good idea, and its your fault for playing on singleplayer for a year without ever creating an account.... doesnt that get suuuppppeeerr boring?

@FlyingHawk: It does get boring, yes, hence why I hadn't played for 2-3 months, and came back to find 2.0 in my face. I also hadn't paid attention to the boards, as I didn't think they'd really affect my singleplayer game. Which also responds to @Wowbagger.

@Featherbucket: I suppose so, but if that's true, did he poll people on it beforehand, or was it all done on his own accord?

Also, @FlyingHawk, I suppose you're correct on your final point; I hadn't thought of it from that perspective, as I never really planned on playing MP a lot.

TL;DR: Thanks to your responses opening my eyes to the MP community's perspective, I'll simply play MP when I feel like going on WarLight from now on, I suppose a compromise wouldn't hurt.

I apologise if I wasted anyone's time.
