Why is it impossible to decline your own game, or substitue yourself with an open seat? Sometimes I make 24 FFAs, and when they are about to fill up I realise I don't have the time because it took too long to fill up or whatever, so why must I delete it? Is there a method I am missing or is this an issue which should be addressed?

i think if you go to add or remove players you can still remove yourself and add an open seat. did you try that?

just tested it myself, yeah, it works, you can remove yourself from the invite players list of an FFA before it begins just fine, just drag your name out of the players list in the "add or remove" players list

This unlocks at lvl 16. You have to forgive hedja, he's a bit preoccupied atm.

ps i tested it 2 seconds ago and it didn't work, I will even copy the messages it gave me.
After trying to remove myself from the list of players it says:

You cannot remove a player who has accepted the game. Please add potato back and try again.

So I thought "must unaccept, i.e. decline".

Message I get when pressing the decline button:

You cannot decline a game with open seats that you started. Please delete the game if you created it on accident or changed your mind.

This has happened multiple times :/ Are you sure you had open seats? Can you try again and invite me so I can see you remove yourself?

you don't have to join a game you created. You know that, right? Just remove yourself for an open seat before creating the game. You can always join it later on.

Gnull, I know that... that is what I do, but when I then join the game in an open seat I cannot leave and then rejoin if I want. OR in a 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 I cannot bounce around teams leaving bad players and joining a good player who turns up, as a host I cannot do anything :/

pettyto - you don't have to REMOVE anyone in order to switch teams.. afaik you can simply MOVE the unwanted mate into some other team manually.

remove yourself BEFORE you create the game and i promice it will work, i do that all the time to make diplo games.

Motocross, please read the reply other people have given me. Also I want be in and then have the choice to jump out or not, as if it wasn't my game. It would be nice if Fizzer could change this, I see no reason to not be able to.

oh you can't do that un-less it is all filled up and you have to start it and then you can decline it..

ps, but this is a much larger problem in 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2, since players i know who are checking it out will only see noobs and not join, but if they see me they might want to play it with me and ask me to switch teams and join them.

That sounds quite arrogant, why not just set the pre reqs higher not to have noobs in the game.

Ironheart, a real time game only stays there for 1 hour, it is hard enough to make a 3v3 with high enough prereqs so only very good players join, a 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 would take at least half a day, and not enough good quality players want to join.

Also ps I don't play 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2s for points, I play it because it is fun gameplay, if i wanted points i would only be playing quadruels and not care about 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2s.
