Far be it for me to disparage anyone from making a living but the ad count needs to come down. It interferes with game play. Yes, I know I could make it zero by purchasing a membership. I had every intention of doing so before the changes but I won't be extorted into doing so now. The level of enjoyment has gone down considerably. Run the ads, it just doesn't need to be every third exchange with the server. It doesn't need to be pop-ups. It's probably doing more harm to your overall participation numbers, in the long haul, than it will help.

Pretty much the response I expected. You missed the point completely. You may lose some existing players but it is a far bigger turn off to new players. Forcing memberships through relentless pop-ups isn't the way to grow the site, IMHO.

If you paid any attention you would see that I am a new player who joined post 2.0 and have zero issues with the ads. Sites need to make money to offset the costs.

I joined after 2.0 and have all the ads and have no issue with them. No turn-off in the least, just brings it in line with every other game site I have dealt with.

i agree that some of the ads especially in game have to be less invasive, i was going to leave them on but in the end i just turned them off because they were annoying and popping up everywhere. i certainly wouldn't quit the game because of them, but they're a bit more annoying that i thought they would be

That's great that the ads don't bother you. They will bother most people and when they change the outcome of a game because they interrupted your turn when you were on the clock, they will bother you. I am not saying no ads, I am not saying no pop-ups even. But just tone it down to a reasonable number. It's literally every other turn. That's too much.

I know I am going to get flak for this, but I just keep my adblocker on. Yes this means I level up extremely slow, but I really don't care one bit. I was a member prior to this update, so I won't unlock anything anyway. Plus I would rather have my computer be virus free. I know ads help to support Fizzer, but I just can't stand them. I really enjoy this game and wish I could support Fizzer in a different manner, or maybe he could make the ads a little less annoying.

And viruses from ads? Really? The ad isn't about to bring a virus along with it. The only way that happens is if you have horrid security settings and click on the ads repeatedly along with the internal crap.

Well either way it is my computer after all, so I choose what I do with it :)
