I bought membership about a few days before the 2.0 update, and it seems like to me that non-members can do much of the previously member-only stuff. What does members acctually get now? Should I feel cheated? If the "block ads" feature is the only thing, then I really do.

Well, then I've wasted a lot of money on practically nothing. One would think that Fizzer acctualy cared about the people paying him, but if no new member features arrive worth having (except the adblock, whitch BTW isn't worth 30 dollars), I seriously doubt it. It's wierd though, because on his blog and on the forums he acctually seems like a nice guy. The features that I payed for are features that now everybody gets, meaning that membership is now more a donation that anything else. To say it outright, I feel cheated.

Fizzer is a really nice guy, I have talked with him and played quite a few games with him. But after all this is a business, this is his job, and for the past 3 years warlight has been nothing but a burden on him, and now with ads he is finally making some money.

Members don't only get ad-free, we get ladders which i think is one of the best parts of warlight. Also cyclic orders and you don't need to level up to get the special perks. Non-member need to play a lot to get what members get from the beginning, but I agree that i feel a bit robbed after spending that money on a membership, but it is all for Fizzer, trying to help him improve this game. I do hope though that members get new things in the future to make it more worthwhile again.

anyway, im back from the days when non-members could create tournaments and big games, and back then i felt non-members were being robbed. But i bought a membership for 2 reasons: 1.ladders 2.help the site, i still have them both

I really only bought the membership to support Fizzer, (though I won't deny changing luck appealed to me!) and before 2.0 came out, that was pretty much the only revenue he was making off this site.

Non-members can now do a lot more things now, and I think that is to get more player into this site (which means my brother can now farm in tournaments...) but I know that some members who bought the Membership a little before 2.0 must feel cheated...but really there is still more that you can do.

I paid for the membership a few months ago, but to me, I would have gladly paid twice that amount for all the stuff I got (I did buy another membership for someone else) and you still have a lot more perks...you only have to wait a few months, and I don't think your will feel cheated after that.

1 no need to waste time levelling up
2 no ads (huge advantage)
3 ladders
4 NO NEED TO LEVEL UP :D
5 the most important of all, the fact that most noobs in autogames think being a member makes you automaticallly an amazing player and surrenders right away instead of playing you
