Thanks very much. I'm still unsure about how I should do colonies though, I imagine they'll be in separate boxes somehow. If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them.

What will you do regarding Holy Roman Empire boni?

Iberian Union (I think it held tightly, even up until it's end).
Spanish Holdings in HRE (including Milan)
Making Malta and Gozo seperate? Why not include Camino as well :)? The three inhabited islands of Malta
The scope of this map looks rather small, it looks like you are just going up to 60 Longitude? That does not include Vyborg and does not include Helsinki. Make it at least to 65 Longitude, Helsinki and the vicinity of Petrograd will be included.
Where are you putting the colonies?

Though I may be harsh, you are a good mapmaker, just trying to optimise it. :)

Looks great! I like the colonies idea. (Though I am sad you didn't go in for a 1914 or 1939 version of your 1812 map)

Well that map I'm using at the moment only goes up to that longitude - http://dflorig.com/fimage014.jpg - but I'll make sure to go farher north using a different map when I get to that point

It's not at the maximum document dimension limit yet, so I can expand it to make room for colonies

[GRID]OnlyThePie: I'm fairly confident I'll do a world war Europe map at some point. I know this sounds a bit cheesy, but when I saw that map I linked up there ^, I just had to convert it to a WarLight map, it was perfect.

I was kidding about Camino, sorry if I didn't make that clear. Although if you think it would be better balance-wise or aestethically, go ahead. I wouldn't tell you not to, but just keep in mind: Today, only 4 people live on it today, and back then, the island was basically a prison district (Sort of a mini-Australia). I was more advocating removing Gozo, but now that I think of it, you shouldn't. Nowadays, it holds around 5% of Malta's population, and is notable enough to include.

What Austrian "cases" do you mean? I always thought Austria was generally unified, besides half of it being in the HRE.

EDIT: Actually, it's Comino, not Camino. Sorry for spelling it wrong this entire time.

One more thing: I believe Venice had one more island northeast of Crete, but it's going to be hell trying to find it. I'll try, though.

Also, I'd like to test.

Edit: Found the missing Venetian island. It's called Tinos. All the other islands in the South Aegan were taken by the Ottomans by that time, I think.

Well parts of Austria were other Kingdoms that had just united with Austria through marrying royals. The most well-known examples are Bohemia and Hungary. I'll find that Venetian Island tomorrow, thanks.

Also, I think putting Austria in the same category as HRE or even Iberian Union would be too much. It would be like putting Russia's republics entities as separate countries, and then putting the Russian Federation as an union. Or putting each one of the United States states as their own country and putting US as a cloud country.

One more thing I noticed: You're missing the Alloro di Cattaro (Kotor bay), which Veneto owned.

It's a great map! Congratulations!
But in my opinion you should change Xàbia by Dénia since Dénia was (and is) quite more important than Xàbia

I think you should name the territories by the language of the country that they were held by. This would mean

I assume you want, for everything in Iberia and Holy Roman Empire, to be the language of it's crown, I assume this includes Spanish holdings in the HRE? (To have their own language?)

Nice idea and map, although maybe you should take more care of terrirories' names... I suppose that having your home city and many other ones bad spelled lowers the rating to a map.
