the problem with detecting alts, is proxies.
an alt from the same IP/same computer are easy to detect and ban when reported properly.. but when someone uses a proxy there is no real way to proof they are doing it, besides a right out confession.

So the amount of abuse I, and others in the same clan as me recieve for our names, with the argument that its against the rules is fine?

But when it comes to alts, that's a different matter?

Still don't know what the point of an alt is, and no one seems to have an answer.

The only reason why I choose to answer this, is because I had the same question myself.

REAL ALTS: Your secondary account that has a decent record in all the games you played on it. This type of alt is often used to get into a better clan than your primary, seeing as your primary is filled with your friends etc.
TOURNAMENT FILLING: Alts you make to fill up slots in a tournament when you dont have enough people to actually play. People who use these have to state what account their using for the tourney. And in general if its a tourney filling alt, you surrender on turn one.
TROLL ALTS: Dont really have to explain that one.

actually there are fair reasons for using alts so shut your face and go do whatever welsh people do

i agree some are used for darker purposes but a lot are used for improving skill. and some people do 2v2 ladder with them

If you want to be in a clan, be in the clan.

If your "friends" are in a different clan, perhaps you should talk to them over a different platform, such as FB, Twitter etc or of course accept the fact that your in different clans and warlight isn't the most important thing in your life. Try actually talking to your mates one day Tommy boy.

Regardless of anything else, its still against the rules, the same as my name apparently is.

in the TOS it states:

"13. Online Conduct and Abuse

(xi) deliberately transferring money between Accounts (i.e. "money laundering")"

so you are both in the wrong.. your names can be deemed, to a reasonable person, to be obscene, and/or vulgar/grossly offensive.. *depending on the name*

The Rules also state *You shall not operate more than one WarLight account in a way that gives you an advantage in a game, tournament or ladder.*

The reason your names are targeted more than alts, is because of what I mentioned before... proving alts are alts..
It's easy to prove your name is offensive, it's clearly printed for all to see.. identifying an alt is not so clear.

Only one Account is allowed per person for playing coin games. Multiple Accounts, as well as the setting up and operation of multiple Accounts, are prohibited if playing with coins. Your Account is not transferable. your name is witty, but T4R is based on the Wehrmacht, the body of the Nazi Army and not the people who did all the executing (SS, Gestapo). Also, the person from T4R who is most active in the forums is named after someone who actually was involved in a plot to kill Hitler and was a brilliant commander (who somehow lost both his major assignments in WW2 due to lack of men and material)

I have seen people with names of Stalin and Hitler have their names forcibly changed before *years past* as memory serves.
And alts can be easy to notice, at times.. when those times occur, report the player and point out the time, and fizzer can then notice the incident and remedy the situation.
