We're currently playing on Issander's Huge World. A friendly AI has started attacking 2 bonuses, Portugal and Southern Norway.
If the AI held the majority then I could understand it but I was holding all of Portugal and 3/4 in Southern Norway.
Any ideas?

It will only attack teammates in two circumstances:
If a bonus is entirely controlled by teammates and it has >= 50% of the territories. It will only do attacks of 2 then.
If it's expanding into a new bonus that no teammates control.

if you commit orders after the AI, you can use see its orders and then stop the attacks (if he does them).
Oh, also. keep in mind that maps with superbonuses this causes weird behavior.

Sounds like you misunderstood; You can see the Ai will attack (typically with 2), so all you need to do is to have more than 1 army there. The Ai will still attack, but you stop him from taking your territories.

No he misunderstood. It's not hard to get that "oh he's gonna attack, better block so he doesn't take it" aka stopping an attack 101
