id say better clans get more valuable bonuses while large clans get more territories...

that would result in the most unbalanced map...
if we did maybe fifty clans and one territory per active member would that suffice?

especially as you would have to apply some kind of system

Here is one I am working on. As you can see, I have only done a small island. The idea is that the higher skill level clans have more of a base style bonus with extra income and the clans that are lower skill level have less efficient bonuses. I can't simply go by size of clan or some huge clan would be a huge bonus. Plus the sizes of clans change anyway (too fluid), whereas the general skill level doesn't fluctuate a ton over a short period of time

As you can see, I also added the Warlight Staff as zero bonus island connectors as well. They will operate like Hawaii on medium earth, as a choke point.

How will you name the territories? and wont you run out of clans with this size map?

I am not doing ALL clans. I am limiting it to about 70 to keep it at about 260 or so territories. As far as who is on it and who is not...I took the clan list and used that. So it is basically the first 70ish clans on there, though I bumped up a few that are long time smaller clans. I did not exclude based on my personal liking or not of a clan. If they have a ton of members and spam the boards, well they are still a big piece of the clan pie on here.


I considered naming territories after players, but then players change clans...so I don't like that idea. The other option is to do something generic like rp1, rp2, rp3 or rp NW, rp C, rp SW...you get the picture.

I am not convinced either by your map chris :S I think I will make my own clan map when I get more time for it, first of all I dont think put players name on it is a good idea because people change of clans very often, secondly I would put each clan to the same rank.

In reality, a lot has happened to After_Dark. An emergency referendum had to be called on its future, because the old leadership's sudden withdrawal and subsequent plan to make Zanza the new leadership weren't recognized by the clan's members. I'm working on reinventing it via a democratic transition at the moment.
