I read through the forums sometimes, it's primarily just people dumping on one person or another.

Which the majority want to stop and having clans like PC around only disrupt any chance we have of having good honest conversation on these forums. Their names and attitude are to distracting and people instantly put up a defence against them. They know this, which is why they carry on doing it.
It's just trolling from what I can see.

tl;dr Ending PC will be 1 step to ending name shame and other negatives.

Hermit is right. I used to play Magic (card game) a ton and we played tournaments at the local card shop with like a $10 entry fee (and win like 100 bucks). But, someone's parents found out and shut the whole thing down because it was considered gambling (which is true I suppose). So, the owner waived the fee but still gave like 30 bucks to the winner. At any rate, the popularity went down a lot and of course he lost money on every tournament because there was no entry fee. Now the place is out of business.

What I am saying is that if Fizzer needs to censor things a bit to secure the game, go for it. Last thing we want is this site taken down because some kids think they are funny.

by that same logic though he should get rid of the gambling too. (oh shit, i didn't mean to start another conversation about that). what i meant to say is, if there is any concern about kids and parents there needs to be giant clampdown on abusive language and how closely the coin games resemble gambling (please please let's not argue).

i don't like the amount of flak anyone gets for their name, but at the same time if you are posting in forums i guess you are asking for it. i've seen equally "bad" names on here, and far worse language, but not as out in the open as poon squad.

i suggest you guys simply stay off the public forums and the controversy will mostly go away. if you really want to communicate with the wider community then make an alt with a generic name specifically for that purpose. but honestly, with the way you (and anyone else the forum nazis don't like) are treated on here, it doesn't even seem worth the bother participating in this community.

it already seems like there is a gulf between your style of games and what the competitive people find acceptable, so any straight strategy conversation is probably not going to happen, and you don't do diplo/RP so there's not much to talk about there.

just play your game the way you want to play it. don't compromise that. if you like it, there will be others that like it too, and you can have your own community, and these pointless arguments can disappear.

The coin games are not gambling, just as chess tournaments are not gambling and football is not gambling.

I'd say coin games fall closer to poker than chess, but its a gray area.

well i tried to clarify by saying it closely resembles gambling. you can dispute that all you want, but a stuffy parent might agree with the sentiment and not let their child play the game or try to take stronger action against fizzer. and a judge and jury is still composed of people prone to biases, faulty logic, and misconceptions.

i don't know enough about the law to really argue any of this stuff, i'll just say if fizzer is smart (and i don't doubt he is) he does not want even the faintest whiff of a lawsuit.

Coin games are not gambling because there is no luck. It is completely skill based.
