Okay so when the game(link above) started we had to pick our starting territory. I was sure i was one of the first people to commit, yet i did not get my first or second choice. Instead I got stuck with my third and last pick, which wasn't great. I don't understand, I thought that the first person to pick and commit would get their choice over others in manual distribution. My first pick was "Oldtown", now lets say someone also picked Oldtown and did it quicker than me, then why did i not get 2nd pick? How does the system work? Who overrides who's pick? Was it because the person who took my second choice actually had that territory as his first pick?

This is wrong. The quickest to take their turn gets first pick. The timer starts when you click the begin button (or if you've that turned of, when you open the game). So even if you commit first, that doesn't mean you are quickest.

(In this game, you used 5 min; However Atlas used 0 min (<1 min). He proably took your first pick).
