It is uncivilised, and unnatural. I despise it, those drowning in sin due to it and those who defend them.
I despise your intolerance, for all the good that's gonna do...
Well, if it's only sin (not an actual crime), why worry about it? We're all mortal, sooner or later they will have to justify themselves to whatever God you believe in. Why do you even bother getting involved; do you think God isn't capable of handling it him/herself...?
Also, can the religious people
please stop using the "unnatural" argument; it's utter nonsense.
The most unnatural thing mankind has
ever invented is
religion. Point me to
one animal which believes in a God, an afterlife or worries about sin, then we can talk some more; until that time, stop whining about homosexuality being "unnatural" when religion is even more so.
The same goes for a gazillion other things mankind does by the way; if you want to equate "unnatural behaviour" with "bad behaviour" please refrain from ever touching a computer again; there's I don't know how many things in them which do not occur in nature (easiest example: semi-conducting). I'd advice you to go live with the Amish... except they're living "unnatural" lives too: their carts having wheels is the first example to come to mind.
(Besides, homosexuality isn't even unnatural at all:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo#Sexual_social_behavior and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals#Bonobo_and_other_apes to get you started.)
I believe that at least 80% of the population of this planet of an age of understanding and maturity do not feel completely comfortable with the idea of the actions gays, lesbians or transsexual people being normality.
Oh, sure... if you define "of an age of understanding and maturity" as "people who agree with me", I bet it's way more than 80%. Of course, well over 80% of the population of this planet which is "of an age of understanding and maturity" by
my definition is completely in favour of dropping this entire discussion because it's stupid and pointless.
TL;DR:
While I don't know which religion you follow (and I'm only assuming you're religious at all because you mentioned "sin"), I think all of them have a rule along the lines of "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.", right?
Now, if you don't want the gays, lesbians, bisexuals, ..., of this world telling
you who you can or cannot have physical relations with, how about you return the favour and don't try telling them exactly that?
Just for the record, personally I'm straight, so save yourself the trouble of trying to "convert" me. And yes, I do admit I'd feel awkward if a guy would hit on me. Then again, I'd feel just as awkward if a girl I have no romantic feelings for would do so.
There's lots of men out there who think women should have equal rights (and, as far as I can tell, we are making progress towards that goal). I see no reason why straight people can't be in favour of equal rights for LGBTs.
