Pretty simple idea. Have the option to click "Follow Thread" in the forums. The thread then gets added to a list which appears on the dashboard, replacing the current Forum Posts for "Followed Forum Threads". Maybe have the option to automatically follow any thread you comment on in settings?

This allows you to keep easier track of threads that you are involved in and when someone has commented or responded. It also makes it more personalized and keeps it more relevant to you.

This also allows for those who do not participate in the forums to have more space on their dashboard, filled with things they care about more.

End of the day, more personalization and more customization.

Thoughts? Concerns? Problems?

Would absolutely be a great feature. But, it needs to be part of a package of a lot of features. Only adding this would still be an issue because things would get buried for those not following it. It also doesn't solve the content issues we are having.

But, it would be a huge help to those who just want to keep up on a few things (like clan wars). Ideally, you'd want to know there are new posts in what you are following as well (perhaps like the new mail icon we have now).

It's a good idea. At the moment, all I can do is bookmark threads, but that isn't as convenient as following them.

I had same thing in mind this morning after scrolling through !%$$§"$§$T amount of useless threads on the forum to find i was looking for. So yes, i would appreciate to have this feature implemented and also (sorrowly) yes chris is right about content issues

I agree that the most pressing issue combating the forums is the content issue.

However that is being discussed in another thread so I thought I would start this one as it's a separate issue.

Like I said, a flashing icon letting you know there is a new post in a thread you are following would be pretty cool as well.

Or just a notification on your dashboard.

Not sure how notifications would work though, at least the way the current system is set-up
