Pretty self-explanatory, which country do you think is the greatest threat to peace/stability in the world? I tried to pick the countries that are either most powerful or most often accused (justifiably or not) of being a huge threat.

No one can stand the comparison with the USA here. Decades of coups d'etats, wars, funding dissidents and terrorism all over the world. They turned out the principle of sovereignty and the right of self-determination into abstract concepts.

although I don't consider N.Korea a major threat, they are too small. Every country with the potential to generate nukes has some sort of threat level, regardless of what anyone else here thinks.

Tasmania has not gotten independence yet...neither has Severnaya Zemlya, for that matter. They're fighting, though...

And besides the obvious, no interventions in Belarus...or Russia (although they did intervene in the last days of World War 1 to support the white armies).

There aren't many western countries that are accused of being a global threat besides the U.S. Europe is generally seen as a liberal utopia and South American countries don't have large enough military to be considered a global threat. (Unless Brazil or Argentina have a government change).

This poll is as honest as I could make it. Although I did fully expect most people to select U.S due to the rampant prejudice against America on these forums. (Apparently a country that, although usually misguidedly, tries to help others is more dangerous than warmongering nuke craving countries like North Korea)
