I agree with the OP and this is the only thing that I am going to say here because I realised earlier that it is a waste of time to talk about this subject on this forum that is swarmed by indoctrinated, or brainwashed, pseudoinellectual low lifes (like the one above me) which arguments never make any sense (like above), but due to their intellectual inferiority, or simply due to brainwashing they can't and never realise that.

Hohenzollern, if you are so intellectually superior, you could've just shown it by debunking the arguments made in this post and putting out a proper argument for your view... I find it ironic you make a post only to call other people brainwashed and pseudointellectual without yourself adding the slightest form of reasoning for your position or against that of others.

Being homosexual doesn't hinder my life at all but prejudiced people trying to enforce their lifestyle upon others could if they had power. If anything is a disability here, it's being anti-gay.

It is genetic.

If homosexuality was a genetic mutation it should of died out within the first generation, unless early homosexuals were reproducing with women anyways which doesn't make much sense. I can see bisexuality being genetic, but not homosexuality.

For instance, recently I have been seeing support for pedophilia and bestiality in Liberal media sources such as the New York Times.

Would you happen to have any links to that? It wouldn't surprise me, I just want proof if things are really getting to that stage. One thing leads to another, supporters of things like beastiality and polygamy see the "It's okay if they love each other" argument getting pushed and believe they can use it as well.

but prejudiced people trying to enforce their lifestyle

LGBTs try to enforce their lifestyles all the time with the always prevalent strategy of forced tolerance. It's literally getting to the point of "Tolerate it or be banned from all society" point in some areas.

I could care less about the sins or the struggles of LGBTQ people. So long as they keep to themselves and stop organizing pride marches that hold up traffic they can do whatever the fuck they want.

i love it when dumb religious people are trying to get their middle-age backward ideas explained by science. This thread is just hilarious. i mean when someone uses "evolution" and "human were not designed" to be gays in the same sentence, it is just obvious how they don't know what they are talking about. I don't have a problem with you getting your morals out of a 2000 years old fairy tale written by ignorant men. Keep "knowing" what you think you know, just don't embarass yourselves by imposing your stupidity upon others. LGBT aren't imposing anything on you, their only demand is to have equal rights, it doesn't involve you. Religious people needs to stop whinning like children every time someone does something "wrong" according to they fucked up morals. You don't like gays? Go pray and leave them be.

On the subject of homosexuality and genetics, even the best biologists don't have the answer, but there could be a lot of scientific explanation as to why homosexuality hasn't been erased by evolution. And the argument of "before modern values, gay were forced to marry and make children so their "gay" genes passed on new generation" , is a complete bullshit argument. Before christanism, homosexuality was completly normal, it is religion that has been trying to eradicate it for thousands of years. And homosexuality can be observed everywhere in nature, so don't expect homosexuality to be eradicated by natural selection. Just not happening.
Here is a video of a famous evolutionnary biologist (Richard Dawkins) released 4 days ago, on the topic of: "How does evolution explain homosexuality?". But i have to warn the religious fundamentalist of this thread, the video talks about science, so be careful or you might learn something.

Religious people traditionally have been more intelligent than most, in the middle ages the only literate class of people were the monks and priests . And the "Father of genetics" was a monk by the name of Gregor Mendal.

Yeah...too bad we are not in the middle-ages anymore, when religion had all the money and power. Now that most people have access to education, it doesn't get better for religion now does it?
On the other hand, there is some fairly recent studies out there contradicting you middle-age example on the topic of religion and intellect. I don't particularly give much credit to these studies, i know there is a few intelligent religious people out there, but here it is:

"If homosexuality was a genetic mutation it should of died out within the first generation, unless early homosexuals were reproducing with women anyways which doesn't make much sense. I can see bisexuality being genetic, but not homosexuality."

- The evidence just isn't determined by whether you're able to see it work or not.

So you probably need to think more about your explanation rather than taking your explanation for granted and imposing it on a world whose evidence conflicts with it. That is how science works, at least.
I'm not really going to bother explaining how genes work here as I guess it shouldn't really be necessary to see how this is wrong. Maybe I should just point to the fact that there are ants that don't reproduce but are still allowed to exist by evolution.

"Would you happen to have any links to that? It wouldn't surprise me, I just want proof if things are really getting to that stage. No. LGBTs being able to live how they want doesn't lead to bestiality being legalized any more than letting heterosexuals have sex does it.

"LGBTs try to enforce their lifestyles all the time with the always prevalent strategy of forced tolerance. It's literally getting to the point of "Tolerate it or be banned from all society" point in some areas."

- Forcing others to stop discriminating against them isn't imposing their lifestyle. You don't have to actually live an LGBT "lifestyle" to avoid discriminating against others or trying to ristrict what they can do with things that in no way affect you.

Tupac, that's more of a classism thing than a religious thing. The church in middle-ages Europe had strong political power, therefore those involved politically in the church were allowed to learn reading and writing. Those were mainly men too. It's less about practicing religion and more about those born into a favorable seat within the church's construct.

But this is getting way past the point here. The discrimination against LGBT+ people began to escalate with the evangelical christian extremists trying to press their world views into the eyes of politics. Again, noting laws throughout history, many cultures pre-christianity had rights protecting LGBT people or even celebrating them. Christianity brought persecution to not only LGBT people but anyone they didn't agree with. Politicians today still use LGBT rights as a point to push voters in one direction or another. They use fear mongering to control and misinform voters to gain power.

Do yourselves a favor and read up on these things. It'll help to recognize when you're the ones being brainwashed into believing something is bad when it actually is harmless. Practice empathy and learn to understand people different than you. You'll find things are a lot less stressful and harsh when you don't use aggression as your main defense mechanism when you're confused.

And as a side note: transgender rights and gay rights aren't the same thing, so when you say "anti-gay", that's being exclusive to the gay side of LGBT only. It's very common for people to cast away the "B" and "T" of the acronym because they don't understand it.
