Imagine tourney with 8 teams (2v2) -

there are 7 complete teams - Timinator and his 13 clones.
Team 8 has one open place and one place taken by some noob with 60% bootrate.
Will this tourney start? Without coins surely - someone uses his alt and it starts.
But with coins - no one will waste his coins so it will stuck.

Nuke Timinator and the 60% bootrate guy. Do the same with whoever creates team coin tournaments or joins them. Problem solved.

In all seriousness, Krzychu does bring up a real issue. If you're actually putting in coins to play in a tournament, especially if it's for somewhat high stakes, it is a real possibility that a team tournament like that wouldn't start, since someone is less likely to want to invest in joining it if their teammate is likely to get booted.

It's all a ploy so that you can't pass him in level.

I never got my 100 free coins, so I can't enter anything with coins. Am I the only one who didn't get my 100 free coins?

Many got free coins, many didn't. I've no idea of the ratio, but you're far from alone.

You can still enter coin stuff though, if you're willing to buy coins.

(Fizzer)

Someone reports Timiniator for using alts with coins. Timiniator is banned, tournament is deleted. Problem solved.

Fizzer-
So what will happen here where someone is operating two accounts in there (check chat)?:

Bueller?

I have coins on two accounts, I want to know what the policies are here

I would think that it is illegal, simply because having two accounts in the same tourney doubles* the chance to win. To me it seems fair to force surrender him from the tourney, (and if Fizzer can, let his opponents advance in his place.)

*Teoretically

PS. I assume that him being controlling both accounts can be prove; simply chat evidence is not enough.

PPS. Has someone sent a report? And included evidence in that report?

PPPS. We are all interested in the policies here; after all this is a first case, right?

I know someone reported it. And a couple people said they are the same person (that he's admitted such). Fizzer can easily check the IPs anyway. Yes, he should be forced to surrender. Perhaps have all coins taken away as well.

Unfortunately having the player have the same IP is not conclusive evidence. (It can be an indicator through.) Having him admitted to operating both accounts may or may not be "usable" evidence. As no one have shared a screenshot etc. of that chat it is currently not any thing "usable" there.

I have a feeling that nobody sent a proper report to Fizzer, because if they had and the evidence there was conclusive, something would have happened by now.

If IP is not enough, then basically Fizzer can never punish someone for doing coins with two accounts. What other proof could he possibly have?

And I know of at least two people that have reported it. Plus it has been posted here and in the coin tournament Fizzer is hosting. Ignorance cannot be the reason here. Either he does not have proof, hasn't decided what to actually do, or they are not in fact the same person.

Chris, of course IP alone can't be enough. Can easily make the argument that it is a friend/coworker/family member sharing your computer. It's likely horsecrap of course but still a valid excuse.

Well, then why make a statement that a person would be banned? It's like saying drinking and driving is illegal, but having no means for testing alcohol level. Just an empty threat.

Can't he check to see if turns on the 2v2 ladder are taken at the same time?

i believe when coins were announced that fizzer mentioned unique ips must be unique, and siblings / coworkers would be just shit out of luck for legal reasons. accounts would be suspended and what not. would need to look up original post again to confirm. but i do recall it being more strict than for example using clones in the ladder (which i am also personally against but that's for another discussion).
