I am so tired of seeing 2 of my clan mates in a tournament joined by 1 inexperienced player. How often do clan members state that they would like to reserve a team in chat? Why not make that an official option? It would make everything so much easier.

Agreed, but it could cause some problems.
For instance tournaments not filling up, because a little clan of 4 players claiming a team of 5 players.
Also, add/remove players is a good alternative imo.
It should be something that the tournament creator can turn on/off.

limiting the time for reserved players to join should solve the problem
if they dont join within that time,their seat will be converted into open seat again
and you can only reserve once per tourney
