Hello to every warlight players,

since a very long time, the ability to make slots game has been limited to players over level 45. Level 45 necessitates however time to be reached, and this ability to do slots game only after that high level reached is unfortunate for most players that seek to play diplomacies.

Why is it unfortunate for diplo players not to get the ability to do slots game before level 45? Because if a player (and that is the case for most of us) only plays diplo games but didn't reach level 45, they'll be limited to do claim diplos. And in claim diplos, tons and tons of problems arrive including:

-trollers stealing the claims of other people to ruin it for them.

-the last people entering the game limited into claiming very little countries with almost no bonus (due to the first people always wanting powerful countries).

-the game itself not being very fast due to people needing to complete their countries before expanding, making the first turns boring.

-Etc... Etc...

A lot of warlight players are fans of roleplay and diplo games to be more precise. But a lot of them are very limited into their abilities, because they are low-leveled and need to wait more powerful players to do slots games, and this is very boring for them.

This is why I propose, but it might be much, to have the ability of doing slots games at a much lower level. I know it is asking maybe a lot, but look at what could that bring to the diplo players. They'll be more free into their game customising, and they'll be happy to express their creativity, instead of claiming lands that could be stolen by a troll, expanding during 10 turns in a limited lands, an far more...

This is why I ask you, staff of warlight, to finally give th opportunity to diplo players to be able to express their creativity through slots games being available at, for example, level 5, a level easy to reach.

also bc then there would be a bunch of rigged games

or they can ask someone to create template for them and use it. I'm pretty sure, that even in "roleplayers" community, there are some people with lvl above 45, that would be willing to help.

Still, some people are less than 18 years old or are unable to purchase that warlight option due to financial reasons, but are still good roleplayers. And not everybody knows a lvl 45 friend, and if they do, they aren't necessarily always connected.

once the template is created, you can use it to create your own game anytime you like

before you get slots. It may not be the most advanced form of a diplo game, but it works reasonably well.

@Latnox, that's incorrect. They can only use built-in templates, not one somebody else made. (since they're to low level to use some of the features, like custom scenario).

Play ranked games, and you'll lvl up in no time.

Hennns is correct. Any template that uses features that are inaccessible to you cannot be used by you.

Actually since I assume you are talking about Custom Scenario it's level 47 not 45.

Level 5 is a bit low. I would like it to be slightly lower, but maybe more like 35? That would make more sense than 5 at least.

At least less than in a claim diplo game, because with slots game, you do not choose where do you begin, it's automatic. And still, even if people usually unjoin and rejoin to get a better slot, everybody will begin with their territories at their hand, making the diplo start at the point where it is interesting.

That's my point. Of course they can join other slots diplo games, but they are less common than claim diplos (due to being available at level 47), and because only a few percentage of people are above level 47 compared to every gamers of warlight, only a minority are able to express their creativity through slots, while less leveled people that are still good role-players might not find their own favorite slot game.

BTW, what Nightshade did was awesome, I tried to figure out how did he do that automatic countries thing but I can't find how.

This is what I doubted... It is a necessity for the fixer I guess to do that, but it is disapointful because a lot of warlight gamers simply don't have money because of them being less than 18 years old...

I guess it can't be discussed any further more.

Although I do think its a bad idea of making Custom Scenarios under level 47, because by the time you're level 47 you probably know what you're doing (And if you are willing to buy it you probably know what you're doing), I'd be willing to create a custom scenario if someone sends me the link to the template. (Assuming its good!)

I have a suggestion:

If you want, you can go into single-player mode and create a slot scenario yourself. Then, send me a mail with the link to the settings and I will get one of my clan members to review it and then host it for you.
However, our clan only allows multi-day games for practical reasons, so that's only if your willing.

Actually, most of the higher level players making diplos quickly figure out that it is best to assign each slot to an individual team under the same slot letter, allowing people to choose.



For the general discussion: Just create a thread like this one and you're sure to draw at least one person (like myself) who will be more than happy to help create scenarios, as well as offering constructive advice from experience of enough games to reach such a high level.
