Let's assume I want to hire a black worker. The minimum hour wage is 7$ per hour. But I want him for 4$ per hour. What happens? I cannot hire him for 4$ legally, so he ends up unemployed and DOES NOT EARN A FUCKING CENT PER HOUR. Unemployment rises. Poverty rises.

I fail to see how this relates to the topic. You either have to hire someone for at least $7 per hour, or you don't hire them at all. Don't like the minimum wage? Too bad, I guess you don't get any employees and your business sinks. What does this have to do with black and white?

Obama cannot solve any of these problems because he is a dumb president which indebted american nation as high as no president before him ever had, and all this jerky president can do is smile and spend money earned by hard-working americans. Obama will not solve poverty by funding benefits. It only hides problem and makes debt higher.

Obama is inheriting all the shit Bush started, and the only way to fix it is to spend money. Of course, our debt wouldn't be quite as significant if we were to tax the rich, who have all the money they could ever need. But the republican party is against that- because they are made up of the rich people who can't let go of their precious money!

Epicular you said about school policy. This is kinda extensive topic and in my opinion, schools should not be compulsory. Also, is it really true that color determines the funding for a school? I deeply doubt it is true. Maybe students results influence school's fundings?

I actually don't know a lot about the subject of school policy. If our system gave less funding to the schools with worse student results? Then we would have the most fucked up school system on the planet. And maybe we do, but I know that some schools don't get nearly as much money as they should.

All right. I say this, because I care. I want to live in civilized world in society which makes prosperity, and is responsible, which solve social problems and not creates them, such as Australia or Switzerland. Poland is a country with little perspective for young people so I will probably move, too.

RvW, I have to say the logic of that comic is rather faulty. There is nothing unreasonable in expecting people to learn the majority language of a country they move to.

If I were to move to Mexico, I wouldn't expect people to speak English,rather it would be my duty to learn Spanish. By the same logic people moving to English speaking countries should learn English.

You are entirely missing the point.

Once upon a time, the territory which would later become the USA was not speaking English (but a bunch of Indian languages). If the European settlers had lived up to the same standards modern-day "if you move somewhere, you learn their language"-proponents want to hold modern-day immigrants to, the USA would never have become an English-speaking country in the first place.

It is not about how reasonable it is to expect people to learn (in this case) English, the point is that there's a huge double standard!

Just to prevent misunderstanding:
Yes, I do agree people moving abroad should make an effort to learn a language in which they can make themselves understood... but with a few caveats:

• I deliberately say "a" language; if somebody moves to, for instance, the Netherlands, Dutch would certainly be an option. Should somebody prefers learning (or improving, or already speaking) English instead, that's fine with me.
  I do feel they shouldn't complain too much when not everything in the Netherlands is available in English and to accept they'll sometimes be inconvenienced a bit. I'm not aware of any cases where this has been a problem though.
  
• I myself am terrible at learning languages; the reason my English is pretty good is simply the result of spending twenty years on learning it. For that reason, I can vividly imagine living in a country for quite a while without as of yet having mastered the local language.
  I merely expect an honest effort from immigrants. To the best of my knowledge, virtually all immigrants want to learn the language; if they still haven't made much progress after a few years, the reason is more often than not a multi-year waiting list for language courses... not unwillingness on their part.
  I'm against putting a deadline on specific results ("be able to pass such-and-so exam within x years of arrival"), since that would be tantamount to hypocrisy; if I myself would ever go and live abroad, I wouldn't like to be confronted with such a deadline either.
  
• There really is no compelling reason for a US citizen who never goes abroad to learn another language; if they don't want to, fine. But I do feel that somebody like that should be extremely reserved about making judgements about the speed at which other people (immigrants) are learning English. Learning a language is genuinely hard; if you've never done it yourself, you're in no position to criticise other people for having difficulties with it.
