Good job generalizing (you guys). I did not beg anyone to join. Yes, I brought up the trolling, but I was merely explaining why he was blacklisted. But you can defend him calling me a name twice in response if you want.

He should thank you for the blacklisting, you do like %98 of the trolling and when he defends you he gets the rap too. You are like the best friend that picks fights and gets in trouble all the time and he ends up sitting in jail with you.

Just spit-balling here, but a cool reward for those who do well enough to stay in League A would be to directly chose a map or template to be used for the next season (provided it's determined to be strategic), starting with the 1st place finisher going down the line choosing in order.

Chris you can go back in the forums and check, I've never trolled. Everything I've ever posted has been relevant, or a response to someone attacking me or my clan. I've never once started any forum drama.

The trouble there is most clans would probably choose some template they play internally that the others have maybe not played at all. So you'd have 7 of the 11 templates that are perhaps not widespread used.

A better approach (IF everyone liked the idea) would be to weight the votes based on finish. So like A1 votes are 7 points, A2 = 6 pts, etc.

If you did that, you could extend the votes to every single clan, where the winner of A is the most and the loser of D is the least.

I will submit these to the panel, as it would require a vote by them to change the rules (I don't just make changed myself).

Why is there so much emphasis on a template being "known" to all? As long as the settings are strategic, a good player must prove themselves on any template. Else we end up with a situation where players win only by experience and raw skill can never come up trumps. Also the same strategies are known to all and used by all, which takes the surprise factor out of it a bit.


I remember having this discussion with a few folks on a different thread as well, and even got Gnuffone to see my viewpoint(easier said than done :P).


When I played Season 6(my first time) I did not know anything about Europe 3v3 or China 2v2 and I was poor at them. But over the last few months, I'd like to think I've got much better at these templates. i.e, I would really like to see the clan league adopt new templates(as long as they are strategic). This really helps you grow as a player in my opinion.

The league would be alot more interesting if every new season can't have templates featured in the previous season.


edit: To clarify, it wouldn't be only new templates every season... just that for example 3v3 EU can't be used for season 7, but can be used again in season 8.

I agree that we should include a rule that a template can't be used in consecutive seasons. I might include an exception for the 1v1 ladder template, though, since it's rather central to strategic warlight.

I'm testing out a Treasure Map 3v3 template, that might be worth including in a season.

Well that is kinda what I would want it to be. Throwing in a couple of fresh templates whilst bringing back the good templates used in previous seasons by alternation. If you only do new templates every season the quality of templates could drop.

Dom and Andy's 1v1 Warlight League has a huge variety of templates. I can think of dozens of 2v2 templates..... As far as 3v3 play: Great Lakes, Europe, Sanctuary, RoR, and East Asia are the best maps/templates.

I don't agree with not being able to use a template two season in a row, but I would support something a little bit more lenient, like this:

-Templates can't be used 3 seasons in a row
-Only 50% of templates can be used from one season to the next
-Only one template per team-size using the same map.

Can we participate without being in one of the clans who's playing? Like a substitute or something?

3 seasons means roughly 18 months, to loooooong :P

Those rules seem like they will add alot of time and effort to the already slow process of starting up the league again after the previous season ends. Also the templates and maps are already switched a bit between seasons so those rules would be like adding something time-consuming that kinda already happens naturally.
