Howdy!

CORP will be joining Clan League next season. As part of our new clan organization system, some of us are also starting an internal Strategic Dojo (sub-clan group of people who want to play competitive strategic games).

We've also set up an internal ladder system (1v1, 2v2, 3v3) using 27 popular competitive templates which has currently gone through 42 games and is picking up steam. (http://tinyurl.com/csldata)

What the Strategic Dojo needs, though, are people.

People like possibly you. If you play 1v1/2v2/3v3, enjoy ladders, and like tournaments, etc.:

CORP Strategic Dojo wants you to join us as a member. We want you to join our Round Robins, FFAs, and interclan/dojo games. We're also looking for really good competitive players to help us get better- maybe even someone to lead the dojo.

Join us as we expand in this new direction. If you're interested, reply to this thread or PM me.

Well, when you start out with a name like "Coalition of Role-Playing Friends" you don't initially attract the top players on the 1v1 ladder. You attract some interesting people (case in point above).

But obviously we're trying to move away from that (just being RPer-dominated) and have a solid foundation for that (as you've personally observed). But we need strategic players if we are to have a strategic part of the clan.

I may correct Knyte: We are a clan recruiting good roleplayers and people devoted to diplomacy games and roleplaying (hence our clan's name) as well as top players/strategic games players (as we have currently internal tournaments and we are now joining the Clan League, some of our members already play also in the ladders but I admit we are still too few in that category). Each dojo having a speciality/preference of playing, knyte is currently trying to find players for the Strategic Dojo. We have a solid basis of active members, so if any of you are interested you can try and join us to see how we are and get a better idea of how CORP works :)

@ Shini/Lolicon: You are still in our clan but if you do not stop with your hentai/perv comments we will have to take measures against you and remove you permanently from our clan, I know you can do better than that, I am still defending you in our council (people are discusssing about whether remove you or not) so you are warned, stop it now,

^ Right, CORP isn't going to become a strategic clan. There's just some of us who're more interested in having a good strategic culture within part of the clan. Sorry if I created a misunderstanding there.

Alright I'll add you to the 1v1 ladder with a 1-game Limit since you didn't specify anything.

Not really Thomas. This sort of development easily predates shinigami's hentai rampage. We're just doing this because enough people in our clan want to.

Thomas was the one who hinted at it with the reputation comment. I was just clarifying the issue for him.

You have to be more patient with reputation. Once earned, it is not easy to shake off a reputation. If I might make a suggestion:

Be ready to use a scalpel. See anyone making nonsense posts on the forums? Kick them out. See anyone with a ridiculous boot rate? Kick 'em out. See anyone inactive? Kick 'em out. No questions asked, no excuses needed. Do that and your clan will eventually improve itself naturally, which, in turn, will affect its reputation.

No need to be harsh if you recruit the right people.

It's less about reputation and more about providing our members with the environment that they would like. These concerns are also of the Strategic Dojo only, so it'd be kind of odd for us to intervene with the recruitment policies of CORP as a whole.
