I signed up... but it seems pretty small.
You get:
More windows (haha) on the screen at once.
The start menu back (yeah, you were WRONG Microsoft :))
More Xbox One connectivity (which I assume won't work in Australia yet)
Their version of Siri, called Cortana (which I know for a fact will only work in the US and parts of Western Europe.
Yay!
(note use of sarcasm)
Overall I think it is ok, but its not much considering 8.1 was released two years ago...

I like windows 10. Took me a little while to get used to it (I'm an Ubuntu or XP user by preference)
Not used Cortana on my PC yet as I have no mic but my younger brother has and he said she works beautifully.
The start menu is back but it's now combined with their Metro thing which LOOKS nice but I haven't had a reason to use it yet.
Overall it's been good. When I installed the Technical Preview a couple of months ago it was crashing a lot but with each update it has become more stable.
My older games have been working fine. I've had a few issues come up but they would have needed patches on windows 7 also.
It may not be much considering 2 years but there was a time when we went from Vista to 7. That was also 2 years :).
