One good example where Google nor Wikipedia is our friend. Dystopia is very distinctive theme. Badly abstract thinking is dying function and therefore many can´t make basic difference on "another crap fiction" from clear dystopia. That one can find elements of Dystopian society in Star Wars does not make the whole film Dystopian. Is Terminator Dystopia for you?
There goes the saying that "Google is commoner". Meaning google will give you answer that 2+2=4 put, IT does not explain how it came to be or what it mean linguistically. That someone calls something with name X - does not mean it is X.
I remember there was a great book about Dystopian literature and culture, although can´t recall source. I would suggest to look into political film societies. Not stumble the random IMDB or Wikipedia lists. Although there has been not much watchable dystopians after 2000s.
Utopia-Dystopia. There is just a thin line between them theoretically. One mans Utopia is anothers Dystopia.

Speaking of utopia and dystopia, has anyone else here seen the UK series Utopia? Some good shit- not quite dystopian (actually more of a sci-fi thriller) but its 12 episodes are worth the watch.

The movie doesn't reflect the book (which is just a collection of short stories about robots). The most "dystopian" part of Asimov's I, Robot is probably when QT-1 takes over an insignificant asteroid base and becomes a religious maniac, reciting the robotic shahadah of "There is no Master but the Master and QT-1 is his prophet!"
Basically, just don't watch shitty adaptations.
