17 armies (14 mobile) and 6 territories to take, it is possible. I would like to see that game however :D

by turn 6... someone got an income of 26..... how? i wonder what is the other player doing?

Thank you very much for all this, much appreciated! I have to say thou that I would prefer to see a smaller top 50 sample, since it would give more reliable results, that actually mean something.

@Table 1:
Honestly I expected to see a spike near start because of early counter.
Also didn't expect average to be so high (above 10.3). I bet it's lower for top 50 games.

@Table 2:
I really like the graph for this, the "waves" show the luck influence - one tide being the people that got lucky, and the other those who did not. I'm pretty sure this would look totally different for 0% SR.
I suspect for top the wave of "lucky" is higher and "not lucky" lower.

@Table 3:
Man, some of those are sick! 11, 14, 18, 21, 26, 31 ... I have no words. I have no idea how they do that.
I think this is very interesting table, there is a lot one can conclude from it about the template. Also lol at 10 income being worse than 9 in late game (oh, actually not so late, losing since turn 3).

@Table 4:
Hmm. Make sense, especially combined with Table 1. Not sure what make out of this one alone, I think it have to be compared to other (or top 50) to get some useful clues.

@Table 5:
Turn 1 look weird. I guess it's because +1 and +2 are not so frequent to happen (0.5% and 0.0% based on Table 4). First turn +3 is better than +4 make kind of sense I guess. I really don't get why there is not 100% from certain line onward, I'm with Benjamin on this one. But "90% win rate" line look kind of steady since turn 5.

Awesome data!

One thing of note is that before 2011-09-27, the 1v1 ladder started players with 5 armies on every territory instead of the current 4. This may explain the high early-income anomalies. You may want to filter games before that out of your data, and see if the anomalies still remain.

I was gonna spend some time to try to comprehend all that data, but when I see Fizzers comment I want to wait before I invest time into that :p

Looks like there were about 5,000 games in the set with 5 starting armies. (Including the ones Sephiroth asked about.)

I think I will rerun with something like top 100 players over the last 18 months.
