Hello, Is there a way to stop these error type messages popping up without subscribing to anything on warlight? Really does get annoying after a while, especially when you are trying to do a move and it pops up and you cant do anything for 10 seconds).
Never had this problem pre-coin system and new layout etc.
The thing that pops up is a message saying a Advertisement didn't popup because your adblocker didn't let it. so if you take your adblocker out then it will stop. You'll stop losing XP too.
But yeah Fizzer isn't gonna change that because he wants the $$$ from Ads.
so you have 2 choices. Take your adblocker off while you play Warlight, or Buy a membership and have no point for your adblocker! (I guess there is a third one too and you just deal with the 10 seconds and loss of XP.)
Edit: also I used to have this problem Because of Parental controls (parents are crazy though) and I got them to unlock the website that "Ads by Google" comes through and the ads started to come through, the message stop, and I got the normal amount of XP. I imagine that your adblocker will let you unblock Warlight. there isn't any ads that cover the whole screen.
So I only know how to reverse-engineer stuff that uses HTML5/etc... not Flash. I have no idea what's going on here, but I bet there's vulnerabilites we can exploit. The beauty of this being closed-source is that it probably has a good number of unnoticed bugs.
@Everyone who has ever used adblock, if everyone used adblock, no website would have the money to stay up (with few exceptions). Ads are the blood of the internet.
Warlight never had this problem before the major changes...where there was no coins, no banking times..when it was plain and simple..
The coin system is a joke..if you're new and you lose your first game...then you're stuffed!!
(Unless you're idiotic enough to buy coins that aren't worth anything)

At the end of the day its all about MONEY and not entertainment and fun...I can see warlight losing a percentage of game users because they aren't wealthy people.
^ That's not true. I had this problem many times before (pre- and post-AdBlock). It's just an issue on the server end and has nothing to do with coins.
The 100 coins are complimentary to get the ball rolling. The Coin system is otherwise supposed to be you gambling real-life money.
Again, Warlight is still free. The coin system has merely *added* more features. I'm not Fizzer's #1 fan (or at least not a fan of the way WL is handled on the developer end) but you have to give him credit- in Warlight's history, he's consistently expanded the range of features accessible for free. The only reversal in that direction was the restriction on open tournaments, and the players had to ask Fizzer for that change.
Ultimately, Fizzer is someone who cares about the game and is making it more accessible, not less. He obviously does his research, especially with regard to things like ladders, and constantly strives to make Warlight a widely-played game. So I wouldn't blame it on his attempts to replace advertisements as the site's primary source of revenue (especially since ad-based companies do not last very long; just ask YCombinator- if your startup's Plan A is ads, then you're not going to get in).
I think if everyone looked for faults in the game and says something..Fizzer can then take a look and do something, that is why I created this thread, nothing to do with aggression. I apologise to everyone if it did sounded that way.
