Good map overall for your first! The boats are a nice addition and give good connection around the Pacific Ocean. Though I think you should of made them all the same shape. My biggest praise is how well the maps being constructed and designed in general. Its fairly balanced and what I can see all connection' s work.

I know this is your first map, though next time make sure you tidy up the territory's, it looks a bit messy. Clean borders etc. Another criticism is the writing around the sides, its ok. But it make the map look more chaotic, this is important for a big map. Overall 4, good Job!

Thank you for the review. Most of the territories are drawn by pen tablet, so I simplify the territories too much, which makes borders kinda messy. Next time I'll go for simple paths in the first place, and clean up unnecessary things.

Great map! Thanks for building it. I love the values given in the open ocean. Islands and shipping routes are important in war. It is possible to blockade an enemy's navy. You've really done something great here! Love the art and layout. If I knew how to build a map, this would be my masterpiece. But alas it is yours.
I think you've filled a deficiency. The Pacific Ocean is a big part of this world and WWII proved it. This is not 'A' map, it's 'The' map of the Pacific.

I like the land battles too, and wouldn't want you to change this map, but I would also like to play a version which retained all the coastlines and eliminated the in-lands. It would be more naval-centric and make for a faster game. Still, given the choice I would play the larger version more often. Though I live in Colorado and enjoyed conquering it I was surprised to see it on the map.

I gave it 5 stars and gotta go now because I NEED to play it again.
I also enjoy finishing with 1200 armies per turn.

I'm glad you love the map. About the interior lands, I will consider to make a new version without it, or maybe merger them for a map with less terrotories.

Lovers of gigantic maps rejoice: this is a wonderful design, where for once the numerous interlinks really work and make for surprisingly swift play. The Chinese place names are very well chosen, which makes me wonder if the creator of this map has any China connection: Shijiazhuang being worth an extra army made me laugh, not a place you want to be buried in. Minor quibble, Huachung should be Huazhong, as all other regional names follow the pinyin system.Superb map.

City bonus of Shijiazhuang is changed to Taiyuan in the latest version, maybe better? haha...
Also, you're right. Chinese is my native language, and that's why I have more naming ideas for places in Eastern Asia.

Great map.
And I only encountered two missing connections:
Xalapa <-> San Louis Potosi
Canmore <-> Calgary

The multiple paths across the Pacific makes you play defense as well as offense. Air lift cards would make this even better.

Sterling work with this map. You've created a great map; truly. 5/5. The area you've selected to work on is cool as well; you can have many different scenarios from Japan conquering the world to little aboriginee tribes in Oceania and the Americas, to China and US having a giant stand-off. Also, the bonus system I really like. Also, you've named everything with cities/island names and not just "North Guangdong, South Guandong, etc). Very good as well. Only contructive criticism I have is that you should include the various neo-colonies into the country boni. I understand this could be a bit difficult with the European neo-colonies, but I think you should do it for the US and New Zealand. Continue making these maps! Can't wait for Indian Ocean!

This map also works really well as a local deploy - I set it so that any territory that normally scores 1, scores 20, and everything else scores 0. Makes for really strategic, tactical games.

Hi, the map is very detailed, and I particularly like the idea of the boats. I also like the writing on the sides... a work of patience and art.
Having said that, this is a game based on a few practical key points.
The ratio of territories is too damn small... and map way too large.
As such, it is almost unplayable imho.
Sorry if this is not a great feedback... if you had maybe had less territories, and more joined up, one could enjoy playing the whole thing instead of zooming in and out... seasick!

Love the water travel focus. Too many maps have a spattering of water lanes and it's never enough ... b/c when you're land locked on land bordering water, guess what happens? You take to ships and go wherever you like. You don't just accept that you have to slow crawl through an entire country or continent to get to the other side, you just take a ship there instead.

Gave it 4/5 ... to get 5/5, I'd like to see even more water lanes. For example, to get from Ayan (land in Russia) to Northwest Pacific, you are actually forced to make at least 9 moves, but it's actually very close via water lanes - they're just not connected.

Great map!
