Another triumph, Issander. Lots of fun.
A couple minor notes
- Damaskus 1 should not connect to Beirut, and
the following are spelled incorrectly

I really like the map, you have my 5 for sure... But I just realized that in Portugal, in "Northern Portugal" bonus, there is a region misspeled, you called it "acos de Ferreira", and I think you missed a "P", "Pacos de Ferreira".
Another two misspeled regions in Portugal:
-Setuba -> Setubal
-Farp -> Faro

love it. like how very little reliance on grouping bonus. Aggression to take cities, counties and countries rewarded.

Big enough that, after you've expanded a bit, you start to need generals to manage everything in under the 5 minutes given.

I will make note of some names of Spain that can be changed:
aragon (north and south)--> north-east spain and east spain (aragon is neither of those regions) in fact, zaragoza --> aragon (I guess that you are using the biggest cities for some regions so this one is up to you)
Badalona is in north-east of barcelona but well, remaking it would be more work I guess :P (and hospitalet would be where badalona is in this map).
Its imposible for a map of this kind to be 100% accurate so nothing more to say, you worked hard ;)

This map has only a few good starts, and is weighted to win if you start in the west

Issander has made a map with great attention to detail. Connections are flawless and the total populations are accurate ca. 2015 (my home country, the Netherlands, recently gained its 17th million citizen), which creates a unique map for diplomat games.
I have played the map with 4-9 AIs (FFA and Team) a few times where each player got to pick 5-20 territories. The map should be played with a minimum of 6 players or 3 teams to keep it strategically interesting in my opinion, due to the sheer size of the map.
You can have really fun battles in Egypt, Greece/Western Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the BeNeLux/Germany areas, because of the close proximity and shared borders of all those territories on a relatively large map.
Suggestions for Netherlands to improve resonation with the selected regions:
The Hague-Rotterdam (Rotterdam is South of The Hague, maybe also ferry to Hull like in real life?)
Rotterdam-The Green Heart

Fun, although the the borders in the south should be reworked to not let the AI get past them. Italy had reached Moscow through the gap in Tunisia and Spain had managed to get a little bit of land as well down in Northern Africa
