The bonuses are hard to get as they require a lot of back-tracking. They also are quite unbalanced as well, for example take Northwest which requires only two territories for a 5 army bonus while Northeast requires five territories for a 4 army bonus.

Nice little map a lot of back tracking required. Not very many territories need to get five point in the NW corner of the map.
